Well That is two major jobs that you helped me get done today. The chirping is goine, the mini is running smooth and responsive, The only screw up was I ruined a belt by not having the crank all the way on. Anyway thanks for these wonderful videos. High quality instruction here.
Great clear instructions mate! Im about to install an ATI wondering did you heat damper in oven or hotplate? Would you recommend a very fine smear of oil around the very edge of crank snout to help press damper on? I read somewhere that maybe even a very fine smear of antisieze on crank snout due to the keyway gap on damper.
Is releasing belt tension supposed to be this hard? We managed somehow but it took much force, unlike in the video... Could this mean my belt tensioner or damper has gone bad? Thanks.
So my new pulley which looks the same as yours but has a place for a key way but the crankshaft doesn’t. How do I know if I have it in the right position??

Can’t wait to see what you do to this r53, I’m a R55s owner so your R56 videos have been extremely helpful.

Is there meant to be a bit of play on the belt pulley side of the assembly?
Any idea what size the 3 m6 bolts are? 1 or 1.25 and 75mm?
What does the trick pulley do? Is it filled with fluid? Like this other one I seen.
How would you lock the crank for the torque wrench in case of an automatic transmission?

Awesome video
Did you start it? I was curious if this fixed the noise.
I haven’t yet, the battery died so i have it on the charger right now
Nope, wasn’t the problem. I plan on going over everything so eventually I’ll get it lol
Freaking awesome
I thinks you facebook page has been highjacked by people posting a lot of non-Mini videos and posts. It's has gotten pretty ridiculous.
There’s nothing i can do, my Facebook account got hacked like a year ago
@@ProjectMini I believe you can contact FB support and they will shut the page down as I understand it.
If i could get in contact with Facebook support i would get my account back and clean the group up
