    You are so real and informative about living with Type 1 diabetes - I enjoy watching your videos ☺️ I agree with you being in the low 4s especially when going out to eat I would top it up a little with a jelly baby.
    When you have chips like in the video, me being on MDI I split the dose so I don't hypo and have hyper. Does the pump do that as well?

    • @gabbabetic
      @gabbabetic  Месяц назад

      I used to split on MDI too. The pump technically is meant to adjust itself if you put in all the carbs. But then you just go hypo sometimes. So it depends ! Sometimes ill split myself and other times ill just put all the carbs in the pump and see if it adjusts! Trial and error lol

      @gabbabetic oh right, that's good if the pumps corrects it for you then. So would you say it's better on a pump then MDI?

    Yes, Irish Friend, I also am in the 4’s sometimes. It depends on how I react according to if there’s Insulin on board. If yes, then will probably go lower. If I just ate, will go up. I love when we see Lana. She’s so beautiful. Whenever I change my cartridge in my Pen, I think of the video you made demonstrating how to do it. Thank you! I hope your tummy is all better now. 😘

    I don't know if you take video requests but if you do, could you do a follow up on the pump accessorys (which ones you still use/recommend, which ones to skip)
    thank you x

    At the16.00 mark. Are you still wearing your sensor on your belly? And I agree with you that the medtronic Guardian 4 sensors do suck. Am looking forward to trying out the newest sensor when its available to me called Simplera because its Simple-er lol. I like that you are honest in these videos showing the bad side too.

      I think its on my arm because I can see myself holding the pump on my arm to try to reconnect!

    Have you ever thought about asking if the insulin fiasp is available in Ireland as I use to be on novorapid and do better on fiasp although it depends on whether it is approved for your insulin pump I know it is approved for Omnipod dash and Omniop 5 just a thought 🙂

      Fiasp is so much better I think! Its not approved in the 780g at the moment :( But I defo would switch back if it does become approved!

    Have Simplera for my 3 year old son who was newly diagnosed one month ago. Cant say i have experience of other sensors, but the simplera keep failing early. only had like 2 sensors of 7 that has reached day 6.... pissed that these systems are not more robust.
