Met Steve and Dave at Vevolution today. My daughters and I have been following them for a few years and their videos are always very entertaining to watch. We have their recipe book too and I have to say our favourite is the Chocolate Fudge Cake. When they walked into the room at the event, my daughters told me to go and speak to them. I was hesitant, but OMG they are the nicest, friendliest guys ever. They made our day, took time to engage and chat to us, never mind about how popular and famous they have become. Not only a lot to learn from their cooking but also how lovely they are both on the inside and outside.
Make this all the time!! And all the non-vegans at home adore it as well. So delicious, creamy and flavorful. I add basil to the spinach or sub 100% if I have no spinach

Really good job on this one guys. I just made it for my wife tonight and we both loved it. I didn’t have a chili so I added red chili flakes. I also added a half an onion to the tomato sauce because I had one in the fridge that needed to be used. One of the better vegan Italian inspired dishes I’ve made. Thank you so much.
I made this dish last night. It was amazing and super easy. I didn't have any vegan cheese for the topping, but I scattered some nutritional yeast over the top and it was amazing!! Love you guys!! Going to try a lot more if your recipes. Thanks for making vegan easy and tasty!
That looks fantastic. Also, I've seen people use the freezer food bags as a makeshift piping bag before, so that could be another option :) I never would have thought of great roof paper though.

Guys, this was epic. My 9 year old daughter said she never ate anything better. I poured Kerryann's hidden veg sauce over as she loves it and we had some fresh in the fridge but I'm sure your version is fab too. I cooked it today. It got really messy filling up those cannelloni, it would make a great video on its own :D But worth it, it tasted great. I think I'll try replacing the pesto with button mushrooms with garlic, should be good, too.
I'm making this today, if you take into mind that most people have milk, oil, salt ect then per serve for me this will be $4 a serve making 4 servings. I'm also adding in extra veggies (capsicum, carrot) and if you bought the onion in bulk, or used dried herbs and bottle lime juice it would be even cheaper. Very cool.

You guys are my favorite, I made this and love it. My grocery store had no cannelloni noodles so I used manicotti. In the future I will try sunflower oil bc I can really taste the olive oil. Overall I’d give my attempt a 4/5 😉 I wish I knew how to add a pic to this comment.
You could reduce the fat further by replacing the oil/flour mix with milk and corn flour. Same consistency, a lot less fat. Lovely recipe though, definitely trying it.

Would creamy Haas avocado work instead of nuts, or would it impart too strong an avocado flavour? I was thinking it might allow you to leave out the sunflower oil, too, from the blender part of the recipe, at least..
Try silken/semi-firm tofu with a few more seasonings such as mushrooms, sauteed onion, roasted garlic, roasted cauliflower, leek, bay leaves, vegetable stock? What about cannellini beans? Pimp it up. Experiment. Add your twist. I've made a vegan version that threw in savoury yeast flakes to give a 'cheesy' undertone, and spelt flour for the bachemel. I also use extra-virgin olive oil for the flavour that contradicts what they say. I cannot stand cooked avocado. It's just... funky
I would argue the nuts aren't even necessary. What would add an awesome flavour would be pine nuts? Same kind of recipe, don't replace the same amount of nuts though, pine nuts are a lot stronger. But honestly your creaminess is coming from the bechamel sauce, the basil pesto can be it's own creation.
