Some theories have more research done on them than others, though that is more a difference of how old the theory is. Abiogenesis has only been around a few decades while gravity has been studied for hundreds of years or perhaps longer. Regardless of that, however, each one has been studied and the findings recorded. You can find them with a quick Google search.
