  • Amazing experience diving with approximately 15 to 20 caribbean reef sharks measuring 8 to 10 feet in length. The dive was hosted by Anthony's Key Resort. A 30 minute boat ride to the south side of Roatan near Maya Key. The dive site was at 70 feet and started with divers getting organized in a sandy area up against a small reef wall. Once divers are stationary, the dive master assessed that the conditions were suitable to free swim in the area with the curious sharks, lasting about 15 to 20 mins. Divers then arranged against the reef wall and watched as the dive master cracked the top of the 5 gallon bucket containing fish for the sharks. A small feeding frenzy lasted about 5 minutes or so.
If you have the opportunity, this truly is an amazing experience. This is relatively safe and the dive operation carefully explained all aspects of the dive prior to getting into the water.

I am curious as to why you did fast motion on the sharks feeding? You are making it look like a feeding frenzy. I did this dive two weeks ago and it wasn't anything like this video. The sharks were not aggressive at all and I was able to dive amongst them. Sharks are amazing creatures not to be taken lightly but at the same time we can live together.

Just trying to keep the length of the video down, but yes! you have a good point. This was my first shark dive and I did not feel threatened at all. Can’t wait to do it again! Thanks for checking out the video. 👍

Very good job and editing. I think that is a lot of work.
