Me again. Finally finished two rugs with 84 macaroons each! As I took two strands of yarn there were 168 threads for sewing the macaroons together (diagonally), in total 336 threads. As this will be a present for my daughters in London and they have cats, I wanted to make sure the cats don't get stuck in the gaps/holes between the macaroons so I finally sewed everything pretty close on the backside). Am quite happy now. I used loads of leftover yarns within one colour range and so I bought more yarn which was also necessary as the existing balls/skeins didn't always have the same thread thickness. Thanks a lot for the brilliant idea!
Lovely. Now I can use up all the left-over yarns, perhaps with two strands of different yarns together for a rug. The only thing I'm doing otherwise is the beginning. I prefer to use the "magic circle". Thank you for these excellent videos. Even people who don't understand English can easily follow!
Thank you! Yes, two strands together would work great. I was thinking also of showing this using the magic circle, I sometimes use it but then ended up not using it, so many people find it really hard. 🙂
I love this. With summer coming in Australia it gets too hot to crochet big blankets. This is perfect for taking on the train, or bus and I won't get hot. I have heaps of scraps too, just waiting to be used for something. Thanks Tuula, great idea.
Ooh I loved these. I could imagine this at the edge all around a baby blanket. beautiful. I'm just binge watching now that I've discovered your channel. xo
Thank you, lovely that you like many videos on my channel! I don't know why I didn't see your comments before! I normally respond to comments twice a week .
@@TuulaMaaria Dear Tuula, no problem. I expected AT MOST a heart. You are busy, with SOOO many subscribers. I understand. I just wanted to let you know that you have added value to my crochet life xo I love your style of presenting. Whatever you do, don't stop. xo
Might be a bit heavy for a summer top but yes, you can continue adding circles to create any shape. Measure to an existing top you have to get it the right size.
Best yo-yo I have seen so far. Will make this one. Thanks so much
That's great! 💜

Thank you! What a cute idea for a bedroom rug. I'm adding this to my project list.
Wonderful!
I have made fabric yo-up’s, and these crocheted ones look like fun! I will try some tonight while I am watching TV.
Sounds great, have fun!
