  • So testing some 3D printed parts for a CED Player. The transfer rod coupling failed successfully, but prematurely. The 3rd reduction gear operated correctly but refused to fail as intended. Both parts seem to require some modification.

    Cool! Thanks for sharing and documenting the experience...it was a valiant attempt at using 3D-printed parts! Have you considered using 3D-printed metal parts? (There is a company I saw at a LTX Expo trade show this past summer that does this...I'll have to find their business card!)

    It wouldn't be hard to use a dremel tool to put a little weakness in those spokes. Not the entire length just one little spot. Seconds.
