Moving Forward Together - What We Do

For more than 40 years, Wheelabrator has called Saugus, Massachusetts home. While Wheelabrator is the largest taxpayer in Saugus, we have worked to be more than a local business. We have worked hard to become part of the Saugus community.
Wheelabrator looks to help the community in any way we can. We do this because Saugus is our community too. After 40 great years, the time has come to discuss the future of our operations and how best Wheelabrator and Saugus can continue working together.

Nitrogen oxygen levels are super high. the new proposal would only bring them down to 175 ppm but new incinerators operate at 45 ppm. the win facility is underperforming and is a danger to our communities
