A few years ago, I stayed at a Element Hostel in San Francisco on Mission Street. I got to see this guy at the BART Station a few times. I'm so glad I did. I loved stopping and just watching this guy go at it before I started my day in SF.
I'd see him 3-4 times a week he'd be playing at the BART station, just an incredible talent. RIP.

Being a huge fan of Johnny Cash, this guy was the next best thing. Such a shame he took his own life. A great talent. I feel for his family and everyone whose lives he touched.

Jesse was a friend of mine, anyone lucky enough to have met him will tell you he was the kindest, gentlest soul. It's such a shame, but so awesome he lives on through his music. Miss you, buddy, I shoulda let you take me on that date.

Wow I came across Jesse a few years ago and lately he's been popping up. I get a lot more than a guy doing Johnny Cash songs. RIP
If this is the same guy that busked doing Sunday Morning Coming Down, he was really good. Johnny would've liked him, I'd bet money on it. Especially given Johnny's past w/drug addiction and stuff. Sad really. RIP.

You would be hard pressed to find a better cover of this song anywhere, obviously the quality was poor but seeing passed that this lad was amazing.

I'm sure him and John are singing now, I'm gutted he died so young, I would of loved to watch him live, never got the chance to see Johnny live. Brilliant voice.
I just found out about him on Facebook today & was so happy thinking maybe country music could be saved, then I learn he's dead 😭 god he was good

how does he play the solo while still strumming the chords?! anyone have a good tab or tutorial for that? I know the basic solo but I can't figure out how he plays it AND the chords.
Tom. I know man, I thought the same damn thing! I kept thinking, "Wonder who is off to the side playing the lead part?" Then I kept watching closer and noticed he was playing BOTH! I was mind boggled! So sad to lose such great talent man! By what I've researched of him, he's wasn't only an amazing musician and singer but he was an amazing person as well. But sadly he fought with mental illness, which unfortunately won. 😢
Its not too hard if you strum and emphasize the strings/notes you want on the strum up or down. I never had anyone to play with and learned to do the same.

I believe having a tortured soul has a lot to with having a ton of talent.

I read he committed suicide. Was only 28.
Suicide by hanging. Made the first attempt just a couple months before but survived. And then 2 months later went for the second attempt and succeeded, so to speak. Very sad.
