This was such a heart breaking episode. Watching how Shawn truly looked out for Spencer made me cry. This show is beautifully written and so enlightening.
"nah spence got somewhere better to be" T-T shawn dam it i cried and when ty said that boy was your gauridan angel and how spencer burried the flowers same way shawn did for his brother omg i cat breath im to busy crying
@@sasukehplz4906 Yeah, man. As much as this scene kicks me in the gut, Spencer burying the flower for Shawn and dropping the "See you around, Shawn" gets me more. I really loved how they brought back the "Spence always got some place better to be" and showed it's true meaning. You initially get the feeling that Shawn is being condescending and making it like Spence thinks he's better than everyone... and then you find out Shawn was shielding him most of their life. This was heart breaking and the song "River" really amplifies it lol!
reckless people like you should really fuck off just like Layla said to spencer about how because she isn’t from Crenshaw doesn’t mean she doesn’t know abt real life problems
What made it so believable is when Sean had coop deliver sandwiches to his homies grandma because he was locked up and when he helped Spenc find ashers car. He truly cared about the people close to him he was just misunderstood.
Man. I haven’t cried in years. When he said that Shawn told everyone to leave Spencer alone. I just broke down after that. Shawn thought ahead to protect those close to him, even if he had to draw them away.
I always knew that Shawn was good person, he was just misunderstood with all the gang violence and the repercussions he had to deal with for years R.I.P to my man Shawn
That boy was yo guardian angel + plus the kid version of Shawn running away. Like he was heaven sent to protect Spence on his journey, and now he’s running back to where he belongs because his job in done. I lose it everytime on that line.
Even though Tyrone was evil and was the reason Shawn was killed, he still gave Spencer the closure on Shawn and let him know how Shawn truly felt about him which was decent on his end.

All the times Shawn talked shit to Spencer was so he would stay focused on his path toward greatness. If that isn’t the most selfless thing ever, I don’t know what is.
I love it when shows/movies show the same scene from a different POV and it gives everything a completely different meaning. Spencer heard “Spence always got something better to do” in an insulting way when Shawn actually meant it in a positive way, that Spencer literally had better things to do.

"Surrender to the good Lord
And he’ll wipe your slate clean"
Take me to your river
I wanna go
Oh, go on
Take me to your river
I wanna know
Tip me in your smooth waters
I go in
As a man with many crimes
Come up for air
As my sins flow down the Jordan
Oh, I wanna come near and give ya
Every part of me
But there's blood on my hands
And my lips aren’t clean
Take me to your river
I wanna go
Go on,
Take me to your river
