Would you recommend the fx6 as a run&gun for documentaries but also news reports ? Its stabilisation capabilities is the only thing that slows me down from ordering it . Thank you for sharing your views . Duke.
YES! 100 times yes. Honestly there's not much I wouldn't recommend this camera for. Its stabilization capabilities are better then you could even imagine when you use Sony's Catalyst software. It almost gets rid of the need for a gimbal.
Stop saying it is a dual native iso! Sony themselves did not say that. It is 'high sensitivity' mode. Gerald Undone and others keep getting this term used incorrectly. I want the official Sony engineers to tell us exactly if this is indeed a dual native iso. Sony said dual native iso is found in FX9 not FX6.
@@amitkrupal1234 Sony is quite strict in how they claim things so with the FX6 you lose half a stop of dynamic range in 12800 iso compared to 800. Whereas in FX9's case the dynamic range is consistent between 800 and whatever the second band is.
The automatic ND is brilliant for live-streaming outdoor sports. I just set my desired frame rate, angle and aperture; follow the action and zoom and auto ND does the rest. Add to that some wide-zone autofocus and even a relative novice can maintain a good image without having to make any in-running adjustments.
Thank you Cooper. I have the FS5 and I've spent 4 years editing out the horrible yellow green tinge out of everything. It is just awful in mixed lighting situations. How does the FX6 compare.
Maxamillian Studio I thought it handled mixed light much better than the FS7 we filmed BTS with. Unlike the FS7, you can do auto white balance while in cine-ei mode so that helped me dial it right in.
A decent review, the over use of hand and arm movement to illustrate was distracting. Also maybe a comparison of the new lens to the stil lens at 16-35.

@@kevinkhangdp1 So basically 99% of people cannot tell the difference....
Are the handheld example shots in this clip stabilized?

@@naitovephoto Not being able to white balance in CineEI was far and away the worst thing about shooting log on the FS7.
Gerald Undone said it solved this problem, at least to a greater extent than the a7siii, although it is harder to white balance with.
@@zachhunter5311 Totally agreed
good stuff. liked and subscribed.
My ears and heart hurts hearing the screaming and tears of fx9 owners.

I am patiently waiting for the FX6s to be back in stock!!!!
