@@free_at_sea Both of which are good trades for the foreseeable future. ToonSquid is a simpler but still very powerful way to produce. A few pieces of artwork arranged in layers of symbols…that’s efficient. Your video was very helpful. Squid is gonna be big…you might be onto something here. 🤔🍷🎩🎩🎩
Ouch thats hurt! But he did ave great tutroial. Maybe the dev was too bauy developed new features. They both great and they should collab with each other
Yeah the developers tutorials suck. They just skip steps and somehow expect you to know… ? Frustrating. But this is great!thank you. You’re a lifesaver!
Excellent tutorial. I’m going to set up my lip syncing using this tutorial. Can you make a video explaining more about symbols and what they are and are used for? Thanks
Thank you!!! I was confused after watching the official toonsquid tutorial and you made it very easy. As far as improvements I think you did great. Appealing thumbnail. Short and concise explanation. I think your short form videos are fantastic, and perhaps it would be helpful to watch you combine multiple concepts into a bigger explanation video. The longer form videos are not meant to replace the short form videos you create. It should be a "let's combine things we've learned in other videos" video. Thanks again! 😀
See the ghetto key marker library pops up on the right side, why not the real library, the key marker library only works for that scene in one project, i need a symbol library that looks like the key marker library.
'Out of the mouth of babes' as they say! Not calling you a baby, but if you are really young/kid, do you know that you are teaching others that are past your elder? Keep up the great work! Look forward to more videos! 😊
That’s an awesome quote. It’s cool how people older then myself follow my tutorials! I would appreciate another idea for another toonsquid tutorial as well hehe
Hi. I did all that you have done in this video and I finally understand. Thank you for that. I do have a question though. If I wanted to make another animation with the same lips do I have to do all this again? Do I have to do this for every animation I make? Is there no way that you can save the lips?
I struggled with this as well! If I want make another animation with lip syncing I usually duplicate the animation and delete everything apart from the lips.
Very clear and precise - love that you get straight down to practical instructions
Thanks dad 😀

Kid…this little video does a MUCH better job of explaining how to use ToonSquid than the developer! I wish I was kidding…THANKS! ✊☕️🎩🎩🎩
Thanks for the comment! Making tutorials combines my two favourite things: animation and filmmaking.

Thanks soooooooo much! This video is like a Rosetta stone! And yes the manual and developer video ‘splainer is horribly confusing! 🫤

i swear ur toonsquid tutorials work better than any others im not kidding u get straight to the point and dont drag it out
This tutorial is an actual godsend, thank you, thank you for making it more concise and to the point.
;)
Learned today that toonsquid allows multi-frame markers--so there can be keyable
sub-animations within symbols--wow!
Yea like a blinking animation
exactly. In the set marker widget there
is set 'from' and 'to' value. thanks!
Dude, this is actually easy now! Thank you! I really needed this!

Finally someone who comes to the point quickly. Thanks for the awesome tutorials about ToonSquid !
Wow. Thank you sir. I am now starting to do mouth movements in my animations! Keep making these videos!
Great explanation 👌
Glad you liked it :)
This is what originally taught ME SO MUCH thank you
This is the clearest and fastest explanation, well done son. Liked and subsd
Glad it helped, thanks :)
excellent tutorial, well done
Glad you liked it
Well organized and thought out. You might want to increase the volume of the demonstration though.
Yea I decreased the music and set the demonstration volume to the max but it still didn’t work :/
This made so much more sense than the other tutorials I have watched!, thanks so much!

Nice, would be great to see your results! I’ll definitely look into making a tutorial on symbols.
I JUST STARTED USING TOONSQUID TODAY AND GOD- THIS VIDEO IS A LIFESAVER❤
this was very helpful! thank you!

That’s such a good idea! Thanks 👍🏼
Best tutorial yet!
Thanks for the tutorial 👍
No problem 👍
Amazing tutorial
Amazing
i just wish there was a way to make it smoother.
I can’t find my markers in the properties
Good it showed me how it works but when I use a new symbol it move down then I move it up and the rest get moved away
this is cool is you drawing your assets but... what you want to make assets from a asset pack into a marker? like... a BFDI pack?
This is much clearer than the developer video. You might add a beat of
time to instruction transitions to make this easier to follow. Thank you!
Thanks for the feedback, I’m not really sure what a beat of time is though. 🤔
adding a short pause during instruction
transitions so viewers can catch up and reset for next task. thanks!
@@anzatzi ah ok!
If you swish your mouths it’s makes it smoother and dont delay the mouths

wi don’t see markers on properties when I scroll down
Thank you very muck
TYSMMMMM
is there a way to import pre made mouths into the markers instead of drawing them?
Quick question how do I make the mouths with the chart on the screen I have to unsee the chart to draw my lips/mouths
Awesome 🎉

@@free_at_sea jeez. Of course.. I didn’t think of that. Maybe Toonsquid could come up with a better solution in a future update. Cheers pal.😀
can this work for two characters?
I want to increase the size of my character across many frames at the same time. Do you know how to do this?
I’m not sure? Maybe try giving them a transform hierarchy. 🦑 :)
@@free_at_sea thanks I tried that and it didn’t work.
why i can’t see the Marker in the Properties tho? that’s weird. i did createa symbol
How do I import?
I want to do my own voice but somehow I can’t): I put my audio into my files but somehow I couldn’t use it pls help): actually I found out how

How do I exit the symbol editing
Top left corner in the canvas is the symbols name; press that.
How do you split a drawing 🥺
Select it then select it again and it again then a few options should come up.

If anyone can do this for me I will pay
