Happy Sunday indeed! Very lucky to have an AWESOME Asian Market in my small town in South Georgia. We eat more than JUST shrimp & grits down here. 😉 I know what I'm making later today! Thanks Flo & Dude!!
Totally awesome dish! Looks like a real comfort dish. I bet it would even go good with a small amount of cooked meat in it. (Burger, small chopped chicken, small shrimp/dried shrimp…. Thanks Flo & Dude! ~Sharon
I finally made these for a quick lunch today and - WOW! They did not disappoint! Absolutely delicious! Big flavor for little effort. Love your channel, Flo, and have been watching you and Dude a long time. Please keep doing what you're doing!!
Definitely gonna try this one! Looks so good! Found Wan Ja Shan mushroom "oyster sauce" at local Chinese market, which is excellent, but my sister get's very close flavor with Worcestershire, soy sauce, sugar and a dash of fish sauce! Thanks for mentioning allergies in the video!! Your hair is adorable, btw! 😁 😉
I watched your vid during an afternoon walk today and had to try the recipe tonight. It sounded too simple to be true! Oh my, it was delicious! I made the sauce plain and split it into two bowls. For my hubby's bowl I added the chili oil while I kept mine plain. It was so tasty and I'm going to be adding this ibto my rotation.
These noodle dishes you’re doing are making me so happy…I adore pasta/noodle dishes! Today’s recipe was really quick, which is such a big plus. And…I LOVE your haircuts…all short and cool for summer…you guys are looking like teenagers! TFS, Sharon🤗
Just made this for lunch today. It's simply to make. Refreshingly light (hint: use more vegetables) for these hot summer days and flavourful!!! Love how you cook with simply ingredients!!!
Why aren't any of the Asian restaurants in my area rocking these noodles? I came across the recipe on TikTok earlier today...it was made by a kiddo around 9 or 10yrs of age. His dad gobbled up the noodles as soon as the recipe was ready and I was Sooo jealous. They look like something I want to experience over and over again. Chinese, Japanese, Thai restaurants! Add this to your noodle menu!
I only had a few of the ingredients but this was STILL GREAT !!! Very forgiving recipe and I can see how many variations would be possible. Thanks for this fast and easy addition I'll be adding to my regular rotation!
Holy smokes these were delish!!! I didn’t have the kecap Mani’s so I used sugar and soy sauce. Also couldn’t find rice cut noodles so I used udon!! First try I forgot cucumber and cilantro and it was still delicious! Thank you for sharing these easy simple and affordable recipes!
This sauce is really, really good. I didn't have green onions on hand so I minced up a shallot very fine, and used a nice spoonful of chili crisp and it was awesome. First time using Kecap Manis too.
I have learned so much from your videos, thank you for sharing your experiences and recipes. I fell in love with Thai and Vietnamese cuisine back in the '90s when my co-workers in Minneapolis brought me to those 'hole in the wall' places they loved after living in those countries for years. I do like spice (sorry Dude) and I was told to ask for 'brown skin' level 10 on a scale of 5 at restaurants in the Dallas area with my local friends. I have a lot to learn, but just realized I do not need a recipe for great food and you taught me that. Thank You!
Looks and sounds yummy! 😋😊 Have definitely got to get to my local Asian Market. Haven't been since the start of COVID 'cause it's very small and very crowded. 😊 Love the haircut, Flo!! 😊😊
I just discovered your cooking videos Flo and love your recipes! You have a very calming sweet voice and you look great in your new do! I look forward to Dude's tastings too!
Flo,Dude love you guys I really enjoy your recipes made a couple for my picky family, they liked it to a point well wife is irish descent so not much of Asian spices in her background, I am peruvian our cooking relays on different spices so I can appreciate it you recipes, keep up the good work my kids really take after their mother to a point lol
I love how this quick noodle dish is made in the bowl. I'm making this for lunch, but I'm going to brown half a pound of tofu in oil heated in my cast iron wok and use that oil to flash cook the garlic and red pepper in the bowl. I'll use fettuccine today until I can buy some knife cut noodles at the Asian market. I'm using sanbal until I make a big batch of Sichuan chili oil.
Looks delicious! I love the addition of cucumber and cilantro. Have you used the condiment chili crisp? I’ve never tried it but have seen it used a lot recently on social media.
If you like chilli, lash out and get a jar of Logan Ma. It's not expensive, not too hot and sells all around the world which tell you something right there. Look up the range available where you live as there are variations between countries and frankly the jars all look alike so you need to know the fine details / description of the one that appeals or you'll be like a rabbit caught in the headlights looking at the range in store. Go for it and 'bonne appetit' !
Carrots and onions add some nice veg if you are stir frying in a wok. Also a tbs of Korean chili flakes (gochugaru) works perfectly in lieu of chili oil. This is an amazing dish which I make for lunch weekly. Also frying some ground pork will add some protein if desired. Highly recommend.
Flo, thank you for the delicious recipes and to Dude for being the taster! What was the name of the first sauce you placed in the bowl please. Thank you.
The sauce looks amazing. I would make up a batch of the sauce and leave it in the fridge to whip out on short notice to make the noodles. I'm wondering if the sauce would be good on a hamburger patty.
I'm gonna make it tomorrow. Can I use hoisin sauce instead of that first dark molasses sauce? I love the cucumber idea. Also, I am going to make it with Hawaiian chow fun noodles, and I have to forego the sesame seeds (although I love them, I can't eat them on my CKD diet. I made your egg drop soup and it was GLORIOUS! Thank you so much for your recipes.
Just a little bit more effort than instant noodles and you’ve got this! Happy Sunday! 💕
Happy Sunday to you both!! 💝🙏💝
BTW...I bought your cookbook... Will try it soon...

Kecap Manis or sweet dark soy sauce.
Awesomeness
