Will Sargeant deserves so much more love than he gets, as does Les P and Pete De F. Taken together, these three formed just about the most interesting and inventive rhythm section out there. Much kudos for featuring this track and Rescue (3 yrs ago!!!!!), more E&TB loveliness always welcome. Cheers Adrian 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Will Sargeant, along with John Mcgeoch and The Edge are the reason I decided to pick up a electric guitar. Will has a unique sound and his approach to the guitar was very different to his contemporaries. A truly influence for me.
Long time fowler of your channel my sort of music …back in the 80s people like me born without the magic ears could never dream of playing all the songs you select …..you unlike some other channels pick songs you love and put in some serious time and effort to bring the results professionally presented to people who also love the same music. No reworks of lessons already out there or short lessons on acoustic with this. Man …. Seriously thank you have nice Christmas.
Was 3 years back you covered, 'Rescue'! You mentioned in that video you'd prepared another 2 or 3 Bunnymen tracks. Would love (imagine others would too) to hear the 3rd track. Happy Xmas Adrian + family!
Great video! Really great job at breaking down and explaining each part. As far as Bunnymen suggestions, I've been wanting to learn My Kingdom (and a breakdown of the guitar solo in that song would be especially helpful)
I saw Echo and the Bunnymen April 19, 1986 at Irvine Meadows Amphitheater in Irvine California. That show will always be imbedded in my mind to the day I shall, leave this world ha. Aside from the cloud of clove cigarettes it was just the oddest show I have seen before or since. I think everyone was slack-jawed. They of course were musically phenomenal, the visuals left everyone with “why?” It made sense, tho
Superb as usual! Have you ever looked into Flat Duo Jets/Dexter Romweber? He was a wild man in terms of technique but his voicings and passing notes are always exquisite, whether playing covers or his own compositions. He's still one of the best kept secrets in punk-inflected rockabilly (and sadly, died suddenly in Feb this year). "In Stereo," "White Trees," and "Introducing the Flat Duo Jets" are my touchstones -- a lesson from any of them would be so very appreciated! ❤
Get inside the mind, that's exactly that; bravo mon poto, tjs un choix élégant d'écoute, la ligne de basse est démente également, surpris que tu n'en parles pas, Roland Jazz Chorus très probablement à l'époque
Can someone help me? I am having a problem cutting my picking hand index fingertip near the edge of the nail, on the thumb side of the index finger. The cut is not At the nail, but close. The cut is, I think, the result of the fingertip impacting the strings, such as you would do to make a pinch harmonic, which i deed I do in this manner on occasion, and also I will use the thumb the make pinch harmonics sometimes. Have any of you experienced this? Last night I bled on my Telecaster at the gig. Lucky it was only a 2 hour event. Please if you can help me prevent this in the future I greatly appreciate it. Adrian has made another winner lesson here, hasn't he! Anyways I appreciate the comments in Adrians videos all the time. It's nice to be part of an energetic and positive group. Thanks Adrian and everyone, even if I get no replies.
Is there any chance you could be convinced to do a lesson on the guitar and bass for Lowlife's Eternity Road? It doesn't sound overly difficult but I just don't seem to be capable of figuring songs out at this stage and am desperate to have a play of that one.

You absolute legend. Thank you.
We appreciate your attention to gear and tone. Helps us to get the sound ...

Another classic to learn and sing.
(IRRC Will used a Jc120 in those days)
The master of eclectic tastes does it once again. Thanks for it all, always so appreciated and always look forward to the next surprise. Thanks again.

Great song choice as always. Also I speak for everyone when I say some more Replacements is always welcomed! Happy Holidays mate.
Always loved the thrashing, jangly guitar sound on this track. Thanks Adrian!
One of my favorites from the album. Thanks!
More bunnymen! Great lesson Adrian!

Oh yes!! Thank you!! Now you've motivated me to go onto the extended live version...Will's best stuff
Yes! This! Really enjoyed you doing a quicker lesson.
Superb, as usual. Great taste and great lesson.

Hi Adrian! Would love to see some Feelies stuff in your channel. Anyway, lovely selection, always. Cheeers
Brilliant - thanks.
Thank you, please more of that 80is stuff !!!!
pls do show of strength 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thanks, Adrian.
A nice snail Daniel Johnston t-shirt for a nice bunny or crocodile song.
hot sauce! well done thank you!
On the inner sleeve of the album it looks like there is a Fender Twin. But as someone else also mentioned he was also using a Roland JC120.
Thanks Adrian. I'll get on it right away.
Maybe something of the "Heaven Up Here" Album?
Cheers
Pete
Classic Garage band here.
I'm finding similarities to Andy Gilmore from Gang of Four or Wilko Johnson of Dr Feelgood , both of which you've covered on your channel.
Awesome, thanks! Also, credit to McCulloch's choppy rhythm guitar on those early records.

Killing Moon or Bring on the Dancing Horses are both great. Id love to see another REM lesson…maybe Green Grow the Rushes. Thanks Adrian!
Hi Adrian, have you ever considered teaching any song from Adrian Borland’s band The Sound?
The ascending triads heavily influenced by Tom Verlaine’s playing on Marquee Moon
The Bunnymen covered Television's Friction
Well I can see you've got the blues
In your alligator shoes
Me I'm all smiles
I've got my crocodiles
Great! please consider some Julian Cope please.
My Kingdom from Ocean Rain has a great solo.
Classic 👍

The Bunnymen may have been better in the studio than live.
