Thanks so much for this video. You've saved my life ❤
Superb explanation & demo. Bitter experience has taught me not to embark on a project using a new technique without knowing how to fix the mistakes. …because It would be miraculous if I didn’t make any. Thank you. ❤
I found a brioche mistake on my exploration station shawl way too late. It was very easy to fix…. With a sharpie!!
Thank you!!! I have avoided brioche because I always make mistakes and cannot figure out how to fix them. Because I'm a brioche newbie, I have only used single colors, which makes the mistakes more difficult to find than in your example, but now I have the confidence to try again with swatches.
You saved my eyeball shawl! Thank you!
Immediately, I LOOOOOOVE your energy and how you teach ❤️❤️❤️❤️
OMG you’ve rescued my Eyeball shawl with this tutorial, Stephen! In the last 2 brioche rows, 3 columns next to each other fell of the needle, about 4 rows deep. Thanks to your instructions and lots of focusing, I managed to fix it completely. I am soooo thankful 🥹
Was it on the edge? I’ve messed up the edge of my golden fern shawl, and I can’t figure out how to fix it 😢
@@awatson32 it was in the middle of the row, not at the edge. I guess to need to keep in mind which stitches are the side stitches and which ones are the other dropped stitches. Good luck!!
That was totally my first try at Brioche, the exploration station. I was really scared of doing it that put it away for two years! Then I followed your tutorial on a Swatch and just went for it. Honestly I think sometimes we are our own worst enemies, that little niggling voice in our minds, telling us not to try, that it's too hard and we'll never be able to do it!.
Ignore that voice, just have a go, what's the worst that can happen, it's only knitting!
Thanks for your inspiration and guidance, you have been a massive help in getting me to ignore that little annoying voice that says don't even bother trying. 😘
Thank you. It finally makes sense!
Best explanation I've seen for repairs. I wish I'd had this video when I needed to repair a dropped stitch I once had.
Thank you!
Stephen, you are the best! The very, very bestest! You make everything so doable. ❤🎉
I love your positive attitude! You make me smile!
I am making a blanket for my grand daughter and I used your brioche workshop tutorial, to practice the stitch, as it is now part of the pattern. Thank you for this tutorial.
this helps im making a scarf for now to build up to making a sweater. Also that stitch marker you use is freaking adorable.
Excellent advice. Many thanks❤️❤️
Thank you! . You have the ability to explain it so good that makes it look much easier and encouraging. 🌻🤗
Thank you for explaining how to fix brioche. I was well into a project and noticed a mistake. Thanks to your video I was able to fix it. 😊❤
I've spent so many hours working this out. I did get it but not with the neat stitches. You make it look so easy. Going to go back and repair some sections.
Idem!😀
I adore your fabulous positive energy! ❤
I agree with Nancy. I knitted a whole sweater in brioche and did not make any mistakes, so I didn't have to fix them ;-)
This is much needed.
Fab advice and excellent demo as always . Thank you Stephen.
Thank you 💙 My mistakes were in a single color brioche, but I’m not so afraid anymore. You are very encouraging. 🥰
Wonderful!
thank you so much, i just recently learned how to pick up a dropped stitch while knitting a sock..i got past the heel flap and told myself i am too far just to rip the whole thing out as i have done in the past so i searched how to do it and it isn't as hard as i thought. thank you Shephen for explaining this. i have told my children many times, you learn from your mistakes so that must make me a very smart person because i've made many mistakes in my life. . just don't keep makinng the same ones over and over.
Thank you so much! My white yarn over dark blue mistake was so obvious...so grateful for your fix-it video.
Brilliant! Your brioche instruction is really inspirational, non intimidating and fun. thanks!
Oooh. This video is going into my save forever file. ❤
Thank you for this Tutorial.
Thank you thank you !!!! When I made a mistake, I tried and tried to figure out how to fix and I gave up and tore out my work back to the mistake. Watching your video, it looks easy to fix mistakes. I was making it way to complicated. I’m going to practice this, so when I’m in a big project I know how to do it. This is awesome !!!!
I figured out how to fix a brioche mistake on the straight, especially with just one stitch or column, but I get into trouble when it comes to an area where there are increases and I've dropped several stitches.
I would like a tutorial on fixing a dropped icord edge, or do you already have one that I can get a link to?
I love being able to search your channel to get help and learn. I aspire to be able to teach like you. Thank you for sharing your talents and love of knitting.
thanks so much for this clear and helpful explanation
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you! Wonderful video
Thank you, Merry Christmas 2023 🎄
I watched this the other day and just made this exact mistake just now. Thanks so much for making this video! Fixed it and looks great now!
Just in time! I've started today my Suriously Holey shawl! Thank you once again, Stephen! 💕
You made my day! I am doing baby steps with a brioche cawl and exactly have these mistakes. Thank you for explaining. Greetings from Germany
That made so much sense! Thank you. I think I will head over that Exploration Station pattern and give it a go! 💕💙💕
Thank you so much 😜🫶
Thank you so much Stephen!! This is awesome.
Thank you for an incredibly useful video, Stephen. Your logical explanation makes sense to me, and I know I'll be looking for it when I embark on another project that uses brioche!
Very useful! And I think I need some of those flox markers.
Thank you for posting this video! It came at the perfect time!! I am making a two color brioche hat and was able to fix a mistake with your help ❤
Thank you Stephen I will keep that in mind.
I have to lern to Brioche knitting first . 😅.
This always looks so beautiful.
You can do it!
Wowwwwwww😃😃😃adorable knitting genuis !!
Thanks so much for sharing 💗🧶💗
You make it look so easy!! I have your Brioncho pattern but am afraid to start!! 😅
“Try a mistake just for fun. Is that fun for you? You might just be like I’m never doing that” bahahaha. You are so funny.
Thank you
Fixing increases and decreases baffles me.
Do life lines really work? Would love to see you show that.
OMG i just froged a brioche shawl 🙈
As someone else mentioned, I cannot for,the life of me, fix mistakes in my increase or decrease brioche! Is there a way to fix those, or is a lifeline your best bet? I haven’t been able to finish my brioche chevron scarf because of not being able to fix dropped increase or decrease brioche stitches…
Can this work for single color brioche? Thank you, Stephen.
Do you have any tips for fixing a dropped brioche stitch that includes brRsldec? (Fiber Fest brioche border)
❤
Can you add a link to the floops (flupes?) you refer to? I’ve never seen or heard of them and they look incredibly helpful!

@@StephenWest Thank you!!
I am doing brioche knit in the round where I have to do one round of brioche knit stitch and another of brioche purl stitch but I think I’m on a brioche knit sixth but when I do it it looks like a purl and looks weird so you know why I could do?
