Beginning March 23, Shakespeare haters will finally have a Broadway outlet for their long-suppressed frustrations in the brand-new musical comedy Something Rotten!. Coming to the St. James Theatre, Tony winner Christian Borle stars as the pompous Bard - a hip-shaking "rock star of 1595" - whom Nick Bottom (played by Brian d'Arcy James) finds totally overrated. Take a look as TheaterMania chats with the cast about the production, which they modestly anticipate to be "the best musical you've ever seen."
"If you like Book of Mormon, but want the whole family to come..." Honestly where's the lie lmao
Kate Reinders: My character is in love with the younger bottom, Nigel Bottom, who is played by John Cariani. I’m not acting because I’m ACTUALLY in love with him. 😂😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️
“He’s a little bit of a narcissist” A little bit, christian?
Honestly, my throat hurt from laughing too hard. Something Rotten is my new favorite show on Broadway!
One of the best plays ever.
kate reinders has such chaotic energy and i love it
god i’m so in love with John Cariani
Why is Brian the only one in costume in rehearsal?
erin camp its called a partial dress. sometimes an actor needs to wear their costume to a rehearsal if it needs to be used as part of a scene, or if the costume is weird and the actor needs to get used to it. not every actor needs to get dressed, so they just do a partial dress.
