- See what the differences are between the 2021 model Gen 3 Raptor and the out going 2017-2020 Gen 2 models.
The truck we used to compare against the 2021 model is a 2019. The 2019 and 2020 were identical.
We produce and carry a wide variety of products, including light kits, bed covers and more for the 2021 Ford Raptor as well as many other makes and models.

I still like the way the 2019-2020 look better, especially the front.

This is the best side-by-side generational Raptor comparison video I have seen by far. This guy has a wealth of expertise regarding high performance Fords, unlike most.
Thank you for the video, been researching for the last 8 months on a truck and finally deciding on a raptor, just don’t know what year and packages to look for, but this video helps a lot.
The exterior looks of my Gen 2 are better to me. More aggressive…more ominous looking…. Gen 3 suspension and dash screen are dope though.
I got the gen 3 RAPTOR and the exterior looks really nice, I don’t know why on camera it looks weird, but yeah if I were you I would check one in person
Really detailed and thought out… the new model is pretty rad, love the capability to change the exhaust note and the speakers in the head rest is a nice touch. Can’t wait to see what you do with it.
Yeah. Pretty exciting!
Bro just made me realize how much more I like the newer model than the older one now I know what I want for sure
I'm sorry but the gen 2 is so much nicer!
I like the gen 2 better
So do I. All the seats in the 2021 already have 'wrinkles' all over them, and the suede finish on the doors and seats just looks cheap. I liked the bigger FORD on the back panel too. I'd also rather have the empty fog bays in the front, so I could install my own kickass light rack. The fog lights included with the 2021 don't look so hot.
Both of em look good
Gen 2 got it for me
I have the same 2019 Raptor, color and everything. Now this same color 2021 Raptor in this same color is at my local Ford garage. Maybe this is a sign...
yep.. lol
Good side-by-side comparison John.
Thanks! I will be doing a detailed walk through on the 21 here real soon.
Correction - 2017 Beadlocks are different*
Correct. They did revise the beadlocks from 17 to 19. Good catch.
Older model's front side is cooler.
I’ll take a gen 2 in code orange please
Nah the gen 3 looks nicer
Ya Basel, if you’re gay and you like weak front ends. Gen 2 ftw
I can't understand why the 21 costs so much more than the 20. Same specs & mlg here in GA, used 20 is $70k used 21 is $95k+
I’m trying to figure out the same thing…
@@marcuskoolrt I bought a 22 Tremor, super happy with it
@@mark2524 awesome. Have you gone off road with?
@@marcuskoolrt yes a couple of times, nothing crazy tough but some good size ruts, rocks & hills
What's the color code on that 2021?
Its the Raptor exclusive color called "Code Orange". It's a very cool color. It looks like bright red at some angles and orange in others.
gen 2
How do you order an R?
You can reach out to Jacob on the video and he can do what he can to secure an R version for you. Just keep in mind, they will be very low production and very hard to get. In addition to costing a pretty penny. Most likely over $100,000. This model sticker'd for $80,000 if that's any indication. If you're prepared for that, then it doesn't hurt to start trying to get info on one.
@@jtrischler .....thank you for the reply....👍
I still think they should have the 6.2 nobody's buying these for great fuel mileage
I used to say that but the TRX 7MPG is starting to annoyed the wifey
@@rarityd 🤣 I can understand
Needs something relevant, like a V8.
What are you like 65 years old? V8s are going out dude. I use to think like you, then I got an eco boost.
@@phayes4031 , still needs a v8 :)
@@phayes4031 they cannot even afford the V6 version, lmao... wanting an V8 is a wi$hful thinking
@@wil_leighton1618 can you afford the V6 version? If not, your point?
@@tuoli6801 , have 2. Point is that in my opinion they need v8s. Don't get me wrong, I like the v6 but def think it would help with its character. Thinking about doing a 5.0L swap with my scab
