I o enjoyed your commentary. listen to more of his music. John was national treasure to America. But really he should have received a Nobel Prize for his body of work

My favorite song from one of my very favorite singer/songwriters! The love expressed in this song is so personal to me, as I have shared that kind of love with my husband of 51 years. His voice is so soothing, the music is so soft and gentle and the lyrics touch my soul. I have loved his music for 50 years.

    Thank you
    I miss him.
    Just another fan.
I hope his family is doing well, and whatever that they want to.
We should all celebrate each moment each of us can, just being.
Pleasure of just being in the moment. ("

John Denver wrote that song for his second wife, Cassandra Delaney, who he unfortunately later divorced. He was a hopeless romantic and optimist! I was and still am a huge fan of his and I was actually at the recording when this video was recorded for the Wildlife Concert which was made into videos, DVDs and CDs. I saw him in concert dozens and dozens of times and miss him every day! He was an incredible writer, singer, performer and conservationist!

This song was written for his 2nd wife Cassie. She used him to try to get ahead in her singing career. Personally she wasn't that good and failed. No auto tunning no fancy dancers just a man who loved his fans and loved to sing for us. We lost a very talented person.

John Denver has a huge catalog of songs that never hit the airwaves. Why? Because the critics were awful. Every song John wrote was personal.
