Tori is a timeless talent. She has been known mostly for her Carpenter reinterpretations, but as you can see she covers other artists and also released an original not too long ago. She has always stated that she is not trying to mimic Karen Carpenter and that Karen is a legend that cannot be replaced. With that said, for me, listening to Tori is like listening to Karen as the second best thing. I have never heard anyone closer. Interestingly in a song by another artist such as this one, her voice still has that Karen Carpenter quality although as many will say, not exact. But the beauty and tone are there and it is very enlightening. Regarding Tori's experience as an aspiring audio engineer, She is actually used that in many of her videos. More recently she is collaborated with Jim wilkas who is a genius engineer that produced We've only just Begun. He or she works with someone else. But there are a number of videos she's done on her own. The most recent is Something in your Eyes. They're also many short videos where she created her own Carpenter harmonies in the studio.
Very nice reaction to this and all of your other Tori videos. I also really appreciate your taste in good music. I feel the same about a lot of the trash that's out there. Thank you and peace out.

I absolutely love Tori's voice. I have heard her sing a lot of songs and no matter what she sings it's beautiful. She is my favorite singer, she is definitely a breath of fresh air compared to what we have to listen to today and I also like the older songs that she's sings. Can't wait to see what the future has in store for her but whatever it is it will be great! ❤❤❤

Perry Cuomo and Andy Williams were played on records on turntables in my youth by my parent's. Im glad you arent playing Karen. I just get so damn sad hearing her after her death. This gal does have a tone quality of a Karen- but not full on..
I did one Carpenters song, so I got to be reminded of her voice...which was a great way to "compare" her and Tori. But yes, they are different and Tori is talented in her own right as well. So sad that Karen was taken so young.
Hi Mrs. Realistic! Dan is in the U.K. And Tori is in Minnesota. Two continents! To paraphrase someone, sometimes the Internet does great things. Being able to do this is a prime example. I think Tori says “aspiring” audio engineer. But when you see her in her studio she’s doing everything and then sends it to Dan or previously Jim for final production. The Something In Your Eyes video was all Tori. The Bacharach Medley all Tori until Jim got involved to add his part, 5 months later. All the short videos and they’re rarely simple. She uses Protools and famously has a “good ole’ Tascam 24 track.”
She could absolutely nail a Disney princess’ singing voice. Can you imagine!? Her speaking voice is killer, so maybe… 🙏 We’ll see her acting chops, soon. In a music video, unless it’s only singing, don’t know. That’s for Something to Believe In.

I’m going to request the latest from Dan & Tori. This one has two unique features. Tori is doing something here that she only previously did in her Short Videos. This is a cover of the song “Suddenly” from the 1980 movie Xanadu. Originally sung by Olivia Newton-John and Cliff Richard. So, here we go. This is also someone she’s only covered in Short Videos. Both unique features now in a full length song. Is this a “buckle your seatbelt moment?”
