Hey Robert! Thanks for your comment. Yeah, we had a quite good experience. Flooded cabins after a storm can happen on an older boat like this, and the weather is something nobody can change. I posted this video in a group of mainly northern Cyprus expats and I got many stories, from "nothing horror about this ferry" to "I needed years to recover from the mental damage" 😅 it seems to be a gamble sometimes. Or maybe also a thing about expectations? A Ferry is no cruise ship in the end. Greetings!
The Name is a turkish one nowadays but yeah they bought the ship off a company operating in the baltic sea. All information in board was in Scandinavian/baltic languages. And just an additional paper was written in Turkish.
Hey Ian. Not 100% sure about not being able to cross. We spent a month in NC and heard different stories from Locals and travellers. Some said we would not have troubles but others said we would get rejected at the border. Anyway, we did not try it as our plan always was to go back to Turkey. I am not enterily sure but I think I remember that there even is a ferry connection from NC to Libanon, so in theory one could use that connection. Greetings
The north part of Cyprus, is occupied by Turkey since 1974 MILITARY OCCUPATION The majority of all those are still our stolen lands and properties PLEASE We expect from you people to RESPECT that. Is just like , you are visiting Crimea , been under the Russians OCCUPATION Will you do it . ?
I was thinking for a long time if and how I should response to this text. And of course you are right and I respect your opinion. I try to leave politics out of my videos as good as possible and if you watch my other videos, I focus on nature. But what do you tell people that visit the American continent? Are you browsing the Web, writing comments on how they all live on stolen land? The question about visiting Crimea: Yes I would. If there is anything of interest for me there and it is safe to visit (as Cyprus is) then yes, why not? Sadly there is always conflicts in this world and if I decide where to go cause of historic events, then I am not even supposed to stay at home, cause Austria has a very dark history not much longer ago then the Turkish occupation of Cyprus. Again, I understand and respect your point of view, but please understand that I don't want to offend anyone with my videos, I try to show my experience and (in nearly all my other videos) show and educate about the natural wonders every place of this world has to offer. And luckily nature doesn't care about politics.
@@strawanza2502 Brow. ! Of course , and you can go everywhere you do like . I saw, your video completely, and I saw, / listen of your comments. YES , you were honest , and I thank you for this . ALL the BEST .
@@strawanza2502 Cyprus should be united, allowing both Greek and Turkish Cypriots to live in peace. Displaying occupied areas, especially by EU citizens, can seem like approving the situation, which isn't right. While everyone's free to travel, we should think about the impact of our actions, especially in places with sensitive histories. It's about respecting the place and its people, not just enjoying its beauty
Oh man that food looked amazing. Great video bro, much love 👊
Oh it really was anazing, still dreaming of it 😅
nice video❤
Thank you for the video. If it weren't for the weather during the crossing, it doesn't seem the ferry is that bad.

sehr geil
There would be no repercussions for you as EU citizen crossing to the south of Cyprus
Thanks a lot for your answer! That was actutally what most people said during our stay in TRNC.
What was the name if the ferry? The flags on evacuation sheet were from Baltic sea.

I like to visit....but how it possible from Bangladesh
You have to check your Visa restrictions for that. I am sure it is possible to get there by plane. Actually met people from Bangladesh there
I’ve crossed back and forth a bunch of times and I don’t have an EU passport.
Thanks for your Info Craig!
Having an EU passport would make no difference as no country other than Turkey recognises the existence on the TRNC.
So you arrive in Cyprus, then what? your only option is to go back to Turkey. No you cannot cross to the Republic of Cyprus.
