Did this the other night and they turned out AMAZING! I found some Blood Orange/Jalapeno jelly at my local supermarket and used that as a dip... it was SINFUL! I'm going to glaze them with that jelly next time I make them and put them in the oven for a few minutes to let the glaze set.... Should be AWESOME!

nongminjia you are on to something, I do this with a sliced jalapeno from a jar and I freeze the cream cheese and I grill them instead of fry. they are great for a party when ppl are drinking.
For those who want to make, but bake these. I strongly suggest cooking your bacon in the oven to at least the half done point if not more. Flatten your biscuit half to thoroughly cover your cheese cubes without tearing-press your seams together well. THEN wrap your partially cooked bacon around the biscuit,toothpick it and bake until the biscuit begins to brown a little :D.
I would split the biscuit in half down the middle, like you would opening up a hot biscuit to butter it up. I do that with another recipe I use where it calls for half of a biscuit, makes it easier to work with.

I make Pigs in a blanket by wrapping a hotdog and cheddar with two crescent doughs and baking. Take the crescent dough out and leave as a square instead of breaking into triangles (two crescents per dog).. use chedderjack and/or add stuff like pizza sauce..

I have a 36” Blackstone Griddle & was thinking about trying a shallow fry with it. Would have to turn them to ensure all sides are cooked. Have you tried it that way? Maybe some it to create a convection effect? Advice is welcomed. Your cook looks fantastic & cannot wait to try.

I'm gonna try this. I'm thinking you lose some of the bacon flavor in the canola oil. I think as an alternative, I am gonna try half the batch in the oven and bake it and keep an eye on it for when the Grands are browned. I bet the same for if you grilled them. Most of the bacon grease would aid in cooking the Grands and they'd absorb some of the flavor. If you're grilling it, I'd wrap them in foil to prevent scorching from the flames due to the grease fall off.
+Jeff K if you do these in the oven my guess is the cheese will start oozing out due to the longer cooking time to get the bacon and biscuit dough cooked. Part of why this works is the quick cooking time .

Add a small slice of jalapeño to it that's if you like a little heat in your food. I tried it with and without them. Well worth it!!
