- added a whole lot more since i first took a video of this whole thing, and honestly i think i did pretty good
but then again i'm not a master builder in minecraft so my own standards are pretty low lmao

The Quiet Rapture from Iron Lung type concept, notes left behind that illude to the existence of life in the liminal space, but no one around to prove it.

I actually love this, about a year ago I was in a bad place and I found that mindlessly building in minecraft was therapeutic, so I just spent weeks making endless hallways and rooms. This video inspired me to do that again, this time with more variety and aesthetics, so wish me luck!

The blockrooms
There is a wiki called the Minecraft backrooms on fandom. It's canon in Russian but there is an English version where i myself have made two levels already
fun fact: block of bamboo is the best wallpaper to use when making the backrooms in minecraft. super perfect if you ask me.

I just started the video and said, oh god, that silly music is going to ruin the whole video. I was wrong.. It was the most disturbing experience thanks to that music. That was so simple and weird at the same time. This video is incredible. Even those small moments to remove the rain give it a special touch.

This looks so good!! I love the different mixes of textures you used! That's something I'm trying to get better at, I feel like I don't think outside of the box enough when choosing my blocks.
I like how the movement of the character portrayed the emotions without speaking or sound.

As you walk the endless halls, nothing feels normal anymore. You keep searching for some treasure but its not here. You just want to leave but nothing else works. You can't break out, because the hole in the wall will lead you back to the beginning. You don't know how you got here but you want to leave. After a little while you go insane. The possibilities of liminal spaces is endless. All the places you go to are familiar. But still doesn't ring a bell. You find many treasures in the liminal spaces but you dont have a pickaxe. There is no way to escape. From pools to train stations restaurants and offices there is no exit. You start hallucinating and you see people. Until you give up and just live here. It's true you are stuck here. No escape. But you cheat to escape. Bad things will come upon you.

Dude, you gotta keep working on this. You should make all sorts of liminal areas and rooms that can access other rooms with the immersive portals mod. I bet it would be a fun map to explore.

i've been a liminal space/weirdcore/backrooms fan since 2020, and i thought i was pretty much desensitized to this type of content because i didn't find it unnerving anymore. your vid actually made me feel uncomfortable in the best way possible and i even got inspo to build my own minecraft liminal spaces. please keep making content like this in the future because it's very fun to watch

@@iijel0e That's awesome because this honestly seems like the absolute best thing I've ever seen to build in Minecraft, the possibilities are literally endless! (Especially if you just keep putting doors off that main "backroom" hall) Also seems perfect for shaders too, really makes the sometimes standard looking liminal rooms pop and feel that much more ambient or eerie.

129 x 129 blocks, with the pillars being 2 x 2, and the floor between the pillars being 3 x 3. it took me about a week iirc
