Thanks Keith, great and useful info! Everyone falls all over updates from big box brands but the smaller ones often get no attention as they're upgraded.
I bought them for $55 recently and now the firmware is up to 1.0.7 and WOW do they sound amazing! Some initial reviewers were saying how it was too bass heavy and sounded muddy. Not sure which update fixed this but the bass is clean and it has good mids and treble. They work well for calls, ANC is very good, and multipoint connection works well with my work iphone and personal iphone. The only thing that isn't the best but it's what I expected at this price point, is the transparency mode. Also, the buds fit my ears well. I'm going to say I enjoy them more than my Beats Studiobuds, Beats Fit Pro, 1 More Aero's and Soundcore Space A40's.
That's great. Nice to see a company implement that so quickly... Let alone even just at all. I got a set a few days ago and there was an update available so I think I've been hearing them this way the whole time. Very happy so far. The transparency mode is awesome. I sometimes almost forget they're in still until I move and I can feel them. Pretty close to the room ambience I'm actually hearing.
Super dope that they updated them. Saw the original vid and when I saw the title of this, I was really surprised. Glad they decided to adjust the EQ through a firmware update.
This is why I love Earfun. Own 4 of their TWE’s and love all of them. I use the SV’s a lot for work and the Free pro 2’s are my favorite for listening to music. Love Oluv’s EQ for it.
How do you like the fit for the SV? I prefer the lighter seal of airpods
@@United_Kangaroo1992 I love them. My only complaint is battery life. I use transparency all day and they last about 4 to 4.5 hours. Still not horrible. I can see people having issues with the open case also. The sound is very good.

Great to know this. I have the EarFun Air Pro 2 and I have to say I love them. I am not planning on replace them now but once they stop working I am looking forward to get this one.
And just like that, they gave me alternative firmware! I purchased these about two weeks ago (mid June 2023), and liked everything about them, except for the fact that they just weren't quite loud enough for me (using Amazon Music on iPhone 13). I sent feedback via the app, and to my surprise, about 24 hours later, they emailed me a link to alternative firmware with an installer APK, and instructions. I've got a lot of Android devices floating around, so within a few minutes, I flashed them, and bam - nice and loud! Yes, it changed the EQ settings a bit, and no, I can't really upgrade to another version, but I'm thrilled. These things are exactly how I want them, and they certainly came through with amazing support!
Speaking of smaller companies that make good earbuds, I wish you would include Tozo, Tribit and QCY in your reviews. The Tozo A1 & NC7 have a dynamite sound and soundstage that are as good as or better than any Earfun earbud because they use a unique design that compensates for sound changes caused by the ear canal. It works and is very impressive. I think the NC7 rivals or exceeds Airpods or Bose in sound quality and presentation. The A1 is very close in quality to the NC7 and is about a third smaller. Tribit’s 32dB ANC headphones are an excellent value and have multipoint connection. Their earbuds are innovative, offer good features and are consistently rated highly for sound in Amazon user reviews. QCY offers very good sound and features for less than the big-name buds. Their HT03 have excellent sound isolation, very good sound and are one of the most comfortable earbuds I own. The build quality is very good. QCY’s Ailypods (T20) are an outstanding value, especially for the underserved half-in-ear crowd. Despite being half-in-ear they have some of the most impressive bass I’ve heard in any earbud. Their sound tuning and balance is excellent. They are so small they are the best earbuds I’ve yet found for sleeping - even side sleeping. The case is very small, too. And the batteries have never run down in the night. They are an exceptional value. You can sometimes find them on sale for around $20. Frankly at that price, their sound compares favorably even to AirPods. In a blind test (something earbud reviewers should do more of, like tv reviewers) many of these alternative buds would more than hold their own. Yet it’s hard to find “mainstream” reviewers who review them. We can’t all afford the AirPods, Bose, SONY or Sennheiser. And there are times, frankly, when you don’t want to risk losing or damaging those more expensive buds but still need good performance. So I wish you and other regular reviewers would begin to work products by Tozo, Tribit, QCY and other companies, for instance, that Amazon carries, into your reviews. Thanks.😊

I have gotten a few headphones based on your reviews and have been very pleased except this one. These without a doubt, maybe the loudest wireless earbuds that I've ever owned. Saying this, they have a problem with bass. I am comparing them to my 1more Evo's. Using the earphone app, I could only set the bass to two before they started breaking up and crackling. I don't know if this was a bad pair or maybe it's the product itself. I never had that issue with my free pro 2. Keep up the great reviews. Maybe you can help me with my issue. I believe I have to recant my previous thoughts. The problem was me, because the earbuds were in just normal mode. But when I put them in noise canceling mode they became a Beast!!! Great sound!

I ordered these and the liberty 4. Sent the liberty 4 back because no matter what I did they sounded distant and harsh. EarFun air pro 3 I kept. I prefer them after the firmware that reduced that colossal bass but I'm glad I heard that out of the box sound because now I know what they're capable of. Bass was intense but they handled it tho
Got mine today and after the update and adjusting the EQ to up the bass these sound amazing! The true test will be at the gym next week to see if they stay in my ears!
How they do
I have the Earfun Air Pro 3 and I can say that they are excellent for the price.
I made a setting on the equalizer and managed to reach a sound quality 99% equal to my Liberty 3 pro.
The only drawback is that the Air Pro 3 changes the sound signature when ANC is active. So, I made two presets (ANC ON and ANC OFF). With ANC ON, I still haven't managed to reach the level of Liberty 3 pro. But the difference is minimal.

Way to follow up! Very few revewers go that extra step. I have these and while I welcome the update, I still had to EQ the heck out of them. I still agree that these buds are a steal with all the jam-packed features.

Good point, I have both the "Air Pro 2" and "Free Pro 2" and both like them for different purposes (Air are more comfortable but isolat less) and I'm not clear what (if any) actual improvements there are with the 3 !

I ordered these last week, however I have already returned them. They had a lot of promise and potential however their app is complete garbage and has connectivity issues with disconnected from the app and Bluetooth connection continuously cuts in and out. They are somewhat comfortable however not as comfortable as I hoped. Their touch sensitivity on the touch controls were a hit or miss. Like I said I really wanted to like these but the connectivity issues is just to hard to overlook. Hopefully they can fix the connectivity issue, as well as their app because for the money there is some value for sure.
Something told me not to download that app I heard when you update them the anc got worse is that true thanks
@@desmondmitchell5602 I didn't really notice a huge difference when I updated them regarding the ANC. The ANC overall is fair, there is a little hissing sound when you turn it on. However, I didn't have any in-ear pressure that you get with some other earbuds.
I literally have none of these issues. I love these for sure.

I have the air pro SV but unfortunately they don't stay in my ears (I have yet to find an earbud that does out of the box). Just ordered some foam tips to see if it helps, because the SV was awesome while they can stay in my ears!!

hey guys and thank you keith for the info :) ....i have a question: can you guys agree that you can switch between the modes (transparency/normal/anc) on the buds themself only when you have both of them in your ears? if you use either the left or right you can switch it in the app but. on the buds only when you wear both. of them? thank you
Just tried a pair today and I totally agree with you! These earbuds sound great for the price. For me, the ability to find tune them to my liking was just not there. There just wasn't enough control (I was using a third party app for eq settings to be fair). I love my Soundcore Liberty 3 pro! (Again, your rec!) Thanks for all the great reviews!

What is the latency via lc3 and does your bluetooth transmitter in your phone/laptop also needs a lc3 update or only by 5.2? I don't want to buy an extra dongle just for the aptx adaptive

As an earphone hobbyist/enthusiast, I find that they’re very limited in volume; I have to run Tidal off of an iPhone 14 and it almost needs to be all the way up for any reasonable gain. And I’m 57yrs old, so, I’m not trying to make my ears bleed. Output level just seems very sub par - even compared to other EarFun sets. Has anyone experienced this? Any help would be appreciated.

I'd go with the Earfun. Newer tech and the sound is a little more dynamic than the H1's. However, if you want something a little more natural sounding, the H1's are not a bad option at all

How do these compare to the Earfun Air S?
I got these and had them set up in the app and bluetooth. They worked great. Today I tried to use them and get into the app to check my battery level and they showed up on the app but said not connected. I could not get them to connect. I removed them from my iphone bluetooth (forget device) and removed them from the app and did a hard reset. Now I cannot get my app to find them. Any suggestions?

Can you clarify WHAT was updated? Did they simply update the EQ settings in the app or did they release a FW update that fundamentally changes the default frequency response of the buds THEMSELVES? The distinction is important to me because I DO NOT plan to install the Earfun app on my primary phone (for privacy reasons). And I would assume if they only changed the EQ 'in app', then I'd still get the bass heavy sound on any device without the app installed
Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can still install App on other device, change the EQ and use buds on your primary phone, right?
@@kamilosiou You can definitely USE the buds on any device without the app installed. I'm just not 100% certain any EQ adjustments made in-app will "follow" around the buds. It really depends on implementation. Are EQ settings sticky? Do they automatically reset every time you put the buds back into the charging case or every time you repair them to a device??? Who knows, but stupid design decisions like this happens A LOT with cheap Chinese tech. This is why I want OP to clarify WHAT was tweaked by Earfun... EQ defaults in-app OR the sound curves in FIRMWARE??? Hopefully OP will provide more details, but I seriously doubt it. Most of these YT guys have a backlog of gifted tech with some type of publishing agreement they must fulfill. As such, YT reviews might spend 2-3 days total "testing", writing a script & filming... then another 1-2 days editing & publishing. Then they move on to the next product and never look back.
Ok, I don’t mind responding to your question but please don’t just assume that I won’t because you think all RUclipsrs work on the same system.
To clarify what they updated it is indeed the earbuds default sound curve on the earbuds themself. So if you buy these earbuds and don’t update them you will indeed have the bass heavy sound. However, like Kamil mentioned, you can download the app on another device just to update the earbuds and then the new standard default EQ will stay with the device. And yes, if you do EQ them yourself it will carry over with the device and you wouldn’t have to have the app on other devices you connect these to.

How you activate the LE Audio the app has no option for it.
No music playing from my moto z3 play. Apps either froze or stay silent even when running on safe mode. Calls do work and when a call is on... then music plays ok. Strange glitch. Anyone with a similar problem?

i have just received mine today and they sound but the big let down is how the sound changes from ambient,normal and ANC mode, this doesn’t happen with the earfun free pro 2 and they are still one of my favourites today, hopefully earfun can sort it out soon with another update.
