God introduced me to archery coming out of drugs and alcohol and thank the Lord He did! Sometimes I feel like I traded one addiction for another, but at least this one He can honor!

I always liked the one on Dave's farm, he was so excited for you. Same with the buck he shot out of the same stand, he seemed bummed at first he shot the buck you were after. We would all be so lucky to have or had a friend like Dave, what a solid dude.
I've killed lots of big bucks but the fact that u do while filming yourself is what impressed me

Playing the wind is a huge factor ive learned through trial and error but the element of surprise has been my major key in deer hunting never hunt the same spot more than 2 times especially if your chasing old smart bucks in the mountains
Thoroughly enjoyed it!
Notice that 90% of those bucks were taken at close distances. .
My practice for the upcoming season will be at distances of 20 yards and less. I'll be working on simplicity, efficiency, and speed in the shot; abs and not just accuracy.
A good hunter who is willing to hunt from an elevated position and puts in the time into scouting and learning whitetails habits can expect nice close range shots at his quarry.

This next year I'm thinking about getting out of my comfort zone and trying a hunt in another state than New York and see if I can test my skills. A couple days of scouting and then a couple days of hunting. I just wanted to say thank you for the knowledge your spreading because without that I probably wouldn't be pushing myself as much. #serialkillerintraining🦌🦌🦌

I’ve noticed that a dull broad head even though lethal shat blood trail is not good, not that it was the case on some of your hunts but , I’ve started sharpening my heads to make them razor sharp
The opening statement rings so true, I think hunting, fishing and my wife saved my life. A lot of the guys I grew up with are existing or dead.

Dogs are awesome. I let mine smell the hooves one time on a deer and since then she just traines her self. She will go sit at a deer trail until i come over to it then shell startworking down the trail. Just need to train ger how tostay focused and listen better

Camera and the apparatus that they use for the mount,
Most of those hunts were filmed with cheap cameras. I use better equipment now. I always built my own camera arms. We should have a version for the public soon.

Dan, I had as bad of a season as you did last year. I ended up losing 3 deer. From a treestand, where should you aim on a deer? I've always wanted double lung but maybe I should be aiming for heart?
ODDS GO WAY DOWN THE STEEPER THE ANGLE ON DOUBLE LUNGS. Try hunting lower and not letting the buck get to close... Good luck this fall.

You need to slow down on your shots Dan. Always shooting as fast as you can and lots of marginal shots. Love your videos and I have learned so much about the behavior of whitetail from you. Please practice your shooting more and slow down!
