The '19 is my truck and I'm ecstatic that Optimal Welding has it. I met him about a week ago and, ya, so impressed by Mat. He's def a guy you want to meet and talk to if you're considering doing anything for your Ram. I don't have to mention the cost of these new trucks but I dropped it off for him to work on after just a few emails and texts, trust him completely and I just know he's the real deal when it comes to this kind of thing, not the least bit hesitant to give it to him. Why stick on window vents? They look like crap and tear paint up. In-channel ones are best.
@@brandoncaldwell95 The in-channel ones won't work on the new Ram's. I tried some on my wife's truck and the window wouldn't go up.
@@homeguy4 My truck was like that till it was worked in. Takes a little massaging. The cab is exactlynthe samenas the 4th gen. My 2018 had the auto roll down feature always go off till it was worked in. Now its fine. No way in hell id stick it onto the paint
@@brandoncaldwell95 it's just paint. Any supposed damage will never be known as long as the part is there. A replacement part will re-cover the damage. And a qualified painter can put it back perfect anyhow. It's a truck man. They're made to work for a living in theory. Man up.
@@willroland9811 Not on black. Over time, black fades. When painting on faded black, the fresh pain shows for months on end till its faded the correct tone. Paint is not just paint, any painter will tell you that. Black is a pain in the ass, and any damage to clear coat, color, and primer will show. Doesnt matter it its corrected or not.
It nice to see a Canadian putting out excellent content on Ram Cummins trucks. You are saving everyone lots of time and money with your intelligence. Not sure how the aftermarket is going to like it but keep it up.
This channel needs more subscribers. The wealth of Cummins knowledge is far beyond any other RUclips channel & most shops in the states

Now all you have to do is figure out how to get a 68 to hold 1000hp and hold up. Ur doing a great job
Would recommend end plate on accumulators they are notorious for popping loose wether screws back out or vibrate loose it’s usually a weak point .. and Transgo Hd2 kit would be great upgrade to end plate and seals on phenolithic .. plastic accumulators.. and spring upgrades for them as well .. great kit!! Plus valves in body as well to prevent wear .. end plug.. kit also has snap ring that breaks and pump parts if you actually are rebuilding .. just an FYI I did the Transgo kit with full bd protect 68 on my 12 before I added programmer!! You need to put a pressure guide on them and watch it and see what it’s doing before and after
Cool video. So more line pressure makes the clutches engage with more pressure allowing you to put more power through it without the clutches slipping right? But it makes it feel rougher shifting?

I have a 2014 Ram 2500 6.4 and my clutches burnt out and some bolts broke off the valve body, causing the trans to overheat. I’ve only had the truck two months, luckily warranty is covering the repairs. However, the trans are on backorder with no ETA. Any recommendations on what I should do? Once I get it back, should I put a new billet valve body and actuators on?
Awesome video as always, I am new to the Cummins world as I just picked up an 06 ram 2500, one owner truck. Truck does have the efi live tune but for some reason it fails to kick in the overdrive on highway speeds at times when using in the 3rd position on the efi tune switch. Any ideas ?
how are u adjusting low and high pressures
The biggest weakness in the 68 is when guys are rowdy with their trucks and don't lock it manually in 3rd for hard rips like burnouts and stuff. And when you just allow the truck to shift through the gears when doing a burnout or just hotrodding it it burns up the clutch packs because the 68 shifts differently than the 48 and so on.. the 68 has an overlapping shift pattern so each clutch pack overlaps as it shifts which is why hotrodding the 68 trans burns them up and gives them a bad name, where as the 48 doesn't overlap shift so it can take alot more hotrodding and more power.. but for anyone staying under about 700ish hp the 68 is a great trans especially for towing up and down hills and etc. It's much better than the 48 at daily driving and towing and the occasional hot rod

I always question longevity with mods like this. You obviously know what you're talking about, but the engineers spent countless hours building this machine.

I bought a 2020 ram 3500 dually diesel engine 6.7 cummins the transmission is 68rfe and I am worried because they say it is very bad, help !!!

Did the separator plate along with Trans-go shift kit to my 15 2500. Trans shifts are firm, quick and handles extra power better
Looks like you know what you’re doing I got a question for you I just installed bypass on my transmission and the temperature dropped from 175 to 132 Is that a low temperature for oil operating or should I keep it?
The gaskets don’t help, they are just a band aid, the lower half warps and even cracks, so the gasket is just a bandaid. A billet lower half is the key to fixing it, also there are a few more weak spots.

So are you using the MPV12 to do all your tuning ?
Are you going to make 12 valve tunes for 6.7 s or is that not possible with ho tuners
I could do 12v tunes for any common rail engine no problem
Optimal Welding so all your using is a laptop with the MPV12 which plugs into it ? Than you got an obd port cable that plugs into laptop and then the port ? Correct me if I'm wrong, Wanting to do what your doing or at least know how your doing it

My 2017 ram 2500 6.7 Cummins 4x4 68rfe needed a trans shift solenoid at 71k miles overloaded by 1k cargo pounds the next day the trans couldn’t hold (empty truck) and limped to the dealer stuck in 4th gear couldn’t down shift, no tunes completely stock with emissions too they warranted it.

What would happen if you put the Aisin transmission in your truck? What gear ratio would you end up with?
Your content is absolutely amazing. Please consider turning off the music while filming because it makes it difficult to understand everything you say.
Will you look into tuning on 2018 trucks as well? I noticed in the last video, you only mentioned 13-17 trucks. Just curious. I have a 18' Ram with a 6 speed (g56). Not considering a tune yet due to warranty still active, but just kicking around options for future!
Savage Sausages you might want to order the tuning and all that jazz soon though with all the epa stuff going on.
@@abramspearman9046 I live in a really rural area. (Town of 1000 is the closest to me). I don't think I should have any issues, but I'll keep an eye out for sure!

That’s not a 5th gen. There’s no such thing as a 5th gen Cummins....yet. They’re about 2 years out. Still a 4th gen
