  • In an engaging and personal talk -- with cameo appearances from his grandmother and Rosa Parks -- human rights lawyer Bryan Stevenson shares some hard truths about America's justice system, starting with a massive imbalance along racial lines: a third of the country's black male population has been incarcerated at some point in their lives. These issues, which are wrapped up in America's unexamined history, are rarely talked about with this level of candor, insight and persuasiveness.
Bryan Stevenson is the founder and executive director of the Equal Justice Initiative, fighting poverty and challenging racial discrimination in the criminal justice system.

There is the intelligence of the mind, & the intelligence of the heart. Bryan Stevenson is generously endowed with both. But, then, his grandmother saw that long ago when she observed him as a child, didn't she? (lol) After listening to this talk, I can say that I love Bryan Stevenson. I hope he can inspire & influence many Americans, so that the thrust of our criminal justice system will cease to be a rage to punish, & become a passion to rehabilitate. Knowing he is in this world is a gift.

Brilliant talk. Terror and fear 😨 is horrible. Segregation and prejudice is within each family and any colour...by design. Marginalisation is real. Wars have left many physical, mental and family damage that went from bad too worse. 😢 There is enough for everyone. Cooperated greed ensures the abuses and lies continue. Compassion is rare. "MONEY DOES NOT SOLVE POVERTY. JUSTICE DOES".

The failed premise of justice is, Crime & Punishment... A system based in teaching the Crime & Consequences of negative actions is far more productive to the greater good of society... C.H.A.O.S.
