I have studied soviet Russia under Stalin, maoist China and Nehru's India. And they were so poor and inefficient before embracing capitalism. India is now the fastest growing economy and China is the second largest economy.

Robert, you conducted a great interview and brought up taboo topics. So good for you on that. We had a cruise a few years back where the waiter at our table one evening came from the old Rhodisa. He would not discuss its history at all, just had so many emotions on the topic that we let the topic slide. Mugabe was a monster and utterly destroyed every white family along with corruprtion. Your issue of ruining the currency really does not appy to America because the United States has the military to enforce national policy no matter the merit. And the currency itself is paramount to the soverignty for many other countries, Japan included. In a nutshell, America is King of the Hill. Russia and China are strong but they do not have the capability to harm America in a dominating manner. America does; just look at the harbors in Asia and those special weapons in many parts of Asia. Think Poland and Turkey. So no, MMT is alive and well in America.

Don’t believe the politicians when they blame corporations… the corporations are simply playing along with the corrupt regulations and expectations of bribery. Good luck becoming rich without bribing a politician. Corporations can never change this while the problems remain systemic. The "thus far" failure of redistribution of wealth here in the United States is still at the nascent stage and you ain't seen nothing yet, in my opinion. There is the current trend of there being these organized "flash mobs" of looters and my guess is that before it's all over with its going to get a whole lot worse. This current generation will not submit to penury and starvation as did the Great Depression generation, while the rich live in opulence that is entirely made possible due to the new/old federal financial paradigm that has been labeled monetizing/quantitative easing. These young people aren't illiterate and backward in their thinking and they have our modern-day technology at their disposal which is a huge strategic factor for there to be massive social unrest. If our corrupt, dim-witted, incompetent political leaders do what they have historically always done which is to wait until things get so far out of control that our Armed Forces have to be used, it will be an era of violence that our nation may not be able to ever recover from. Not with the ability we now have for there to be an organized campaign of very great harm to be inflicted, and on the national level. The monies that are being electronically generated (monetizing/quantitative easing) is we the people's monies, not the elite's federal income tax monies but we the people's monies are being doled out to the elite as never before, and this generation understands this, despite the corporate fake news media aiding and abetting in keeping this reality hidden in plain sight.

Communism in practice - another heavy handed dictatorship not easily distinguished from socialism in practice
Capitalism in theory - a system where the free exchange of possessions and labour makes everyone help each other to get what they want with businesses failing or succeeding on their own merits leading to high quality of life
Capitalism in practice - much closer to its theory than the previous systems but with wealthy companies and individuals often lobbying to make themselves succeed through lack of competition instead of the quality of their work and cutting costs in any way they can get away with even if that is basically evil (sweatshop labour, using chinese slaves, dumping byproducts in an environmentally destructive way)

I'm for some soft tenets of socialism though I do see the importance of capitalism and the need for evolution because that essentially is what capitalism is supposed to be, evolution, better and better advancement through competition. All capitalism or socialism economies are always doomed to die because human nature always corrupts. Everything looks good on paper but bringing in the human factor it goes askew. We here in the west got a central bank for the wealthy through corruption and why did we get that? because the wealthy wanted unlimited funds to drive their empires and it skewed the capitalist model so it's no longer real capitalism and well we know what happens with pure communism, it fails. Why? because it doesn't enrich the entire society and becomes stagnant, malicious and deceptive turning all into prisoners.

European countries are not Marxist/Socialist systems.
While speaking at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, the center-right Danish Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen said he was aware "that some people in the U.S. associate the Nordic model with some sort of socialism."
"Therefore," he said, "I would like to make one thing clear. Denmark is far from a socialist planned economy. Denmark is a market economy."
Rasmussen acknowledged that "the Nordic model is an expanded welfare state which provides a high level of security to its citizens," but he also noted that it is "a successful market economy with much freedom to pursue your dreams and live your life as you wish."

“The government led by Robert Mugabe during the 1980s was benevolent to white settlers while violently repressing illegal incursions on white land by African peasants who were frustrated with the government's broken promises of land reform. Mugabe's government would change policies in 2000 and encourage violence against the white population, with many fleeing the country by 2005. Zimbabwe's society continues to face significant divisions along racial lines.” - Wikipedia
