I think she's been measured very harshly. She’s smart and even if I dont agree with everything, there's a place for her perspective. SUCCESSFUL relationships are varied in how the success is achieved. Her approach is rooted in positive enforcement so what's the issue? My honest opinion is there's a bias against "beauty" being "educated", meaning she would be more accepted if she wasn't "pretty". 🤷🏽‍♀️

Absolutely agree. Beauty can work against you in certain spaces especially "masculine" spaces. Think senior exec leadership ie CEO or CFO, STEM, academia, research, PhD Pyschologist etc. In areas like sales, marketing, customer service, hospitality and service sure beauty will take you far especially if you earn a commission or tip eg real estate. In the spaces aforementioned, your cognitive ability and leadership will be questioned if you are beautiful. I'm not talking about well groomed. I mean having beautiful features about you. I study this at a doctoral level so I'm versed in this. I've interviewed C suite women who have faced the wrath of reverse agesim for being younger looking. Something that will otherwise be seen as desirable (your youth and beauty) suddenly is turned against you.

Remember, Pastor John Gray utilized the same narrative surrounding his relationship with his wife, Aventer. “She loved me in my brokenness.”
Do we call men like John Gray hybrid men? If so, many pastors and spiritual teachers should be considered as such. This is a part of the accountability discussion that needs more talk-time.

I loved that you were able to find the cover ups or the fact that she kept creating a pretty picture of something, that was in fact messy! Finally, I have to agree with you, that there are areas that Dr. Bryant has yet to work on. It seems she is looking for something that may not exist...which may be the reason why she was engaged 4 times 🤷🏾‍♀️

15:27 My understanding of what she’s saying is, she wants a man that can hold space for her when she’s triggered. As we know, healing is not linear and you can only heal to a certain level as a single person. It’s not until you’re in a relationship and you’re triggered are you able to use the tools you’ve gained in your singleness. So a hybrid is a person who’s done the work, but they’re able to hold space for you when you’re triggered. She said on Cam show something along the lines of (paraphrasing) you’re not on such a high horse, that you can’t have space for partner.

Simply put, she's at WAR with herself!!!
There's a spiritual war within her that she is battling. The old "man" vs. the "new man." She has done MAJOR work on healing and herself in general, but she keeps being pulled back to the old.
I can DEFINITELY relate. She needs to pray and ask the Lord to change her TASTE!! Because she hasn't MET the guy or friends or whatever who is on her new level, or the one she's aspiring to be at, she is still surrounded by the old in some capacity. She needs to surround herself with LIKE people in her personal life and stay fasting and praying until the old woman is shed, and this "new" one totally becomes her!
    🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Also, she needs to be delivered of the spirit of CONTROL! I believe she wants to wear the pants in her relationship and maybe psychoanalyse the men she meets and use her profession AGAINST them in a toxic way. It makes her feel better or smarter than them in a sense. Hence the reason she doesn't want a man who is 100% high functioning because she wouldn't be able to keep him until she is done with her healing journey.

    • @raerae8801

@@raerae8801 I know we can heal alone...we have to, with the Lord. That's what our wilderness season is. But when we come OUT of that season, we need to surround ourselves new people who reflects the work we have done and the new season we are in if not, it unravels and we'll get sucked back in into the old. It takes time to become solidified into who the Lord has ordained us to be.

She says she needs a hybrid because she knows she's not there yet. She doesn't understand she needs to operate on her 30. She doesn't know she's always operating on 75. When you are trying to improve upon yourself, you don't always understand the adjustment required to be able to be effective so you can move forward and grow in the new space. Operate in a better version of yourself. I used to talk that fast, too. It's anxiety. She hasn't conquered it yet. You have to get to the root of it. She owns her stuff, but she hasn't gotten to the root of it yet to stop it from affecting her behavior.

Cam is rich and selfish and will do whatever he wants. He chooses women who will do what he wants in an attempt to be rewarded for his attention to be his favorite. She hopes he'll choose her above the other women. The reality is he continues to pursue other women and have other children. Bottom line he will continue to put himself first. Everyone will try to get and keep his attention. He will never be different, his way works for him. He does not like people who disagree with his way of life. He is annoyed and has to be right.

Most of us (especially women because of hormonal fluctuations) will deal with their lower functioning self at times but awareness is key as well as learning to regulate in those moments. Over time, a high functioning person overall will have less and less of those low functioning moments but never completely eradicated since no one is perfect.

Let’s think about the story of Hosea, and not put God in a box of who he will and will not put together.
Now this is no excuse to tolerate abuse; I’m just saying let’s keep an open mind, every case is not the same for everyone. Also her situation may not have been Gods perfect will, but he used it to introduce a love to her that, over a decade later, still has an impact on her, and has healed her in many areas.
While man’s love is finite, God puts His supernatural, unbounded love, in man.

@@LittleBlackBook91 I am not the standard. Jesus is.
I think we (including me) can get so caught up in our own bubbles, that we don’t realize that many people are living lives we have no reference for. We have to be careful in saying “that can never be God” because it doesn’t line up with how we think or what we’ve experienced. My point is that God can use and restore ANYTHING, especially if it gives Him glory. Don’t put him in a box. He used dirt to make us. He repurposes dirt to make a lot of beautiful things. We have to remember these relationships are not about us.
Different people are graced for different relationship dynamics. And that’s ok. What your graced to handle, I may not be graced to handle.
We’re going to have to pick up our cross, and get over ourselves to be in the relationships we’re asking for.

It’s to me it’s like saying some people can be very intellectual to the point where they can’t speak to someone who’s not on the collegiate level. So hybrid is somebody is kind of like being a street person but having book knowledge you’re able your flexible you’re able to relate. Sometimes some people are only, allow themselves to relate to people who are exactly where they are and that’s it. They don’t have the capacity or the interest to talk to anybody exactly where they are.
