I wonder which of his colleagues he was talking about, the one that gets people clapping for his amazing results (I have a feeling it’s Raffaini).

Great information!! I'm a dental hygienist who just had double jaw surgery, a septoplasty and a bone graph. I've had ortho twice. Suffered from mouth breathing, an open bite and sleep apnea for years but was only diagnosed at age 46 with a birth defect that I didn't know I had, called hemifacial microsomia. After my MMA surgery so many health issues have improved. This was super informative and thank you for all that you both provided in this helpful session!!

      Did you have TMD?

    • @julieharris5960

@@alishaholmes5188 Yes, I have osteoarthritis of both TMJ's, which is in addition to the birth defect. I was told it's not in an active state at the moment. I just had a second jaw surgery 5 weeks ago where they placed a prosthetic chin/jaw implant on one side of the face. Recovery has been much easier than the first round of surgeries!

    Hi there.. Great podcast!
Could you help wirh advice for sleeping at night for my kids.. So our 5 and 3 year old when they sleep on their backs, have their mouths closed .. But in the middle of the night they go on their stomach and mouth breath.. When I’m awake, I manually turn them over but once I’m sleeping then that no longer can happen..
How can I stop them from going to their stomach and mouth breathing?
I’m hesitant to put mouth tape on (especially for the 3 year old)… Any suggestions? Any and all ninja tips would help a lot!
    Thank you so much.

Thanks for finally providing an answer as to why many Orthodontics’s patients are gaslit when they want to talk about surgery. Capitalism really creates problems for patients in the healthcare system in America. ☹️
