Hope it gets certified soon before too many airlines give up waiting! That take off reminded me of the quickest acceleration I have experienced on any airliner. London to Rio via Sao Paulo on a 777. Taking off from Sao Paulo for the hop to Rio with few passengers and very light fuel - really pushed back in my seat, much more so than on my one and only Concorde trip.

Also crashes doesn’t make a company bad. I’m not talking to you, but Boeing aircraft has a lot of crashes because Airbus is so new compared to Boeing, Boeing was made near the start of aviation and without Boeing Airbus wouldn’t exist. Boeing was all good until most of its engineers retired. All Boeing haters read this.
Huge A350 fan but the 777 & 787 range have been so reliable for such a long time now , true work horses. I’m sure Boeing have got this one rite. Lessons learnt after the boo boo with the 737 MAX… Can’t wait to see the new 777x take to the skies & man the size of those GE engines 😮 ❤
Two engined aircraft have to be very powerful. They need to be able to achieve liftoff with only one engine operating. So they basically have twice the minimum power needed. A four engine aircraft only needs 133% of power, should one fail, 100% of the minimum is still there.
@@ghostrider-be9ek per flight radar it took a 2.5 hour flight that day. Also the 777x rotates much more quick than the a350-1000 during its test under the same conditions.
Beautiful aircraft. Hard to be excited for a plane that should have been delivered more than 5 years ago. Adding to the fact that the certification process revealed a bunch of serious problems that Boeing was slow in addressing. The foldable wing tips are cool and all but in the end they are a gimmick that probably costs a bundle to manufacture, install, maintain but most importantly adds another part that can fail in a major way preventing the aircraft to fly to its destination on time.
I understand that technology has a place in aviation but what I don't understand is how does little folding winglets improve customers comfort and rising airfares???
What is seen was obviously not a max-energy RTO. However, before attempting take-off on a test flight, test pilots may conduct a low-speed RTO to ensure proper braking function.
She's a stunning aircraft, but I think she's to late now to join the party, hope I am wrong but it's been so long to get this bird certified and into airline service it's a pretty old tech aircraft and like the A380 will never sell in big numbers after the current orders have been delivered. The future is in the 787 and A350 aircraft, whit improvements to these along the way it will be the staple of major airlines going forward.
I sure hope those folding wingtips can be deployed in flight because how long do wanna bet that after they get into service that some flight crew screws up royal, and takes off with them folded?
@ new design, new electronics, new programming... No new production ways, no new quality control, no new resource and time management, no new solutions to existing problems. Fantastic - love the closeup of the wing tip retracting!!
Amazing... gets better every time I watch it. I was at Paine Field recently, saw the same plane testing :D

Wow. Those brakes must cool down fast. Great video. Cheers from CYYB.
Late to the game but still will be a game changer. Awesome 👏🏽

You ain't seen many then.
I agree with you, don't listen to anyone else.
What a Beast ready to prove all airlines of how capable it is to fly in their fleet.
I love you Boeing 777X ❤❤
This really is a stunning machine
Fantastic video mate!
One of the most beautiful airplanes flying now days. Rivals the Connie for beauty.
That badass 777X used such a short amount of runway to pickup speed and lift off. Those are powerful GE engines no doubt.
No passengers and no baggage loaded, so the plane was very light. Hence the speedy acceleration and short take off distance.
Absolutely baddest ass twin in production!! And ya the X isn't in "production" but plenty other 77 variants are
No passengers. Not much fuel.
