A fire technician is not that physical work. The most is to carry ladders to reach detectors if running cables, installing equipment etc... just like a normal electrician. Your roles are mostly to rectify faults in the system and minor installation with testing of fire equipment as well. In my other videos you can see them... that's the most.
Hi my friend. Iam electrical engineer working in construction industry in qatar and I have fire alarm experience as well .I am comming to Australia as a dependent on my spouse student visa. Could I be able to get a fire alarm tech job directly or do I have to obtain any prior license like electrical license. If yes can I enroll my self in electrotechnology being a dependent.
Hi Mate. You need local experience to know more about our system. No need to be a license electrician. Our system here and ways are different. To enrol, your visa will not allow it. The course is 2.5 years . For fire protection testing and inspection certificate III - you need to be working in the industry and it will take more than 6 months on line to finish the course. Your visa allows only 3 weeks studying.
Sir can a Mechanical Engineer have a career for a Fire Alarm Technician for New Zealand? Are there possibility that I will be a resident at New Zealand?
It's a big shift from mechanical to electrical/electronics. But it can happen...however, you need to be trained well and get a good field experience. To be a resident, you must be locally qualified...like being an electrician. A fire technician works alone so as an electrician. Everything leads to experience & educational qualification + age. All the Best.
I was thinking it should be a bit late to change my career this is because I am 37 this year but you started it when you were 37. great great!@@fireprotectionguy7943
