    Do cables not have to be "mechanically secure" in Australia? I see they are just held to the ceiling with plastic tie wraps and fixings.

      We don't do conduiting unless it's in fire stairs or on walls or open slabs. Inside close ceiling... we just hang it like electrical cables too. However, cables must be fire rated.

      No. It would be loop short circuit and all detectors & modules are missing except if there's an isolator in the loop circuit.

    You should leave the bell circuit off? In case there are multiple ground faults. Just saying 👍
