Just talking a bit about where I think Betsy's problems come from and what I think can/should be done to fix her

How dare you look at Betsy and claim she’s bad? She canonically has a gambling addiction, which immediately makes her the best hero
She just hasn't won big yet. Every gambler quits right before winning big. We can only hope she doesn't!
I feel she needs a Valiant dynamo, maybe a shield that blocks 1 that says "At the end of your turn if you won a wager remove a -1 counter. Battleworn."
@@diegocorrea3223 That would be incredible too, esp for fatigue! I do feel like the reward needs to be a bit stronger though, and she was always supposed to be an offensive hero, which is why I always suggest the ramping weapon.

14:49 An important thing to note about Bravo is that the card has to be cost 3 or higher to get dominate, so a lot of staple cards (like CnC) cannot be effected by his hero ability.
Coming from a Bravo main here, the glaring flaw with Betsy is the lack of a signature weapon and the fact that you don't have evasion on demand like Bravo, you HAVE to have access to gold or a card that wagers, which arguably puts you closer to being like Azalea but with worse on hits a lot of the time.
That's what I'm SAYING gamer, you gotta set up for some evasion that's, at best, the same level as Bravo's. It's not like Bravo's doing super hot rn but at least he's still a better Betsy atm

My issue with wagering is that there isn’t a nothing random about it at all. Opponent nearly always can choose best option for them.

I will maybe make a video on it but the problem with 10 foot is that it makes every hand so clunky to play bc if you draw it too early you are forced to pitch a red or suffer an IP 2
Some things I don't agree with
Lack of a real win condition - having a single gold at the end of the game is a win condition. hat + gold overpower anothos for 7 off of 2 cards.
Worse than bravo - she finds a nice niche between victor and bravo. Bravo struggles because crippling and star struck force him to keep large hands. Betsy still has evasion but with lower cost hands. If we were in a midrange meta and CYB didn't exist I think betsy could be competitive into both earth heroes. Of course this is not taking into consideration CYB Betsy. But I don't consider CYB decks to be a genuine reflection of how a hero is supposed to play regardless of how good it is.
She definitly needs better wager cards. The nice thing about Betsy is that you don't really care if they win the wager because you win regardless. You either get the benefit or you get a bunch of cards - or more importantly a bunch of armor. Determining when to wager and play those cards is a skill in of itself.
The new card is okay - Guardians don't care about ponder though. You only play this card when you don't have an arsenal and an empty hand. Or have sigil in hand.
Crush and wager are effectively the same thing - both are on hits when broken down. Under the hood Crippling is an 8 attack on hit discard 2. Crippling is a 3 card 14 if it hits value wise with tunic no dominate. Bet Big is a 3 card 13 if it hits. Gold is worth 2 value plus might and vigor. plus overpower.
Fatigue is not the only way to play betsy - though it does feel like guardian is being pushed into that slot more and more to be viable. Hopefully the guardian set opens them back up.
The hero ability being split into 2 cards is a good point.
She definitly needs a weapon like you said to add more diminensions. The deck is fine with anothos but it won't be around forever. Titans fist is fine but you lose some value from playing money where your mouth is.

Betsy is kinda the Hero that begs for an Armory Deck with tailored support the most of the Heroes. When she gets it, she should get better for sure.
Betsy feels like a more fair take on Bravo, but now that Bravo himself isnt at the front of the pack her power feels even lower relative.
I'd like Wager Payoffs with guaranteed minimum return, so if you get one token just for playing the card and you are gambling for the second one or a bigger effect

Hey! Great video as always!! I have a question for you: what is your take on Count your blessings as part of a fatigue strategy with Betsy? I was thinking about making a deck with lots of blues that block 3, Fate and Sink, Test of Strength, her 2 specs and 9 CYB, and maybe just try to fatigue everybody? I know that Bravo just outvalues her, but maybe the difference could be a little bit smaller with CYB fatigue idk. Just thinking out loud! Thanks for the content!!!
I am not personally a fatigue guardian player but I think it's not a bad idea, Betsy is one of the better fatigue guardians due to her hat and fatigue lists were the only lists seeing some level of success at a high level of play. That being said, I just feel like there are way better fatigue options right now (Verdance and even Teklovossen immediately come to mind) and I believe that people will start to bring some serious hate for CYB if it starts to take over the meta, so I'm not sure how great it will be long term!
I main betsy and we play her entirely differently i find it fascinating can you share your deck that you run i would love to see it
Yeah I'm a midrange player at heart, so between the fatigue lists and the midrange lists I always end up gravitating more towards midrange

Any thoughts on double down? I love the card but I dont know if I can afford it in the deck.
Unfortunately it's an AWFUL card lmao, which is a shame because it's such a cool concept for a card too (Same with my personal favorite HVY card, Primed to Fight)
It's just not worth paying the cost for, and you often would rather use the gold to wager another attack instead. If it was a reaction I think it would be actually useable and a great alternative to pummel

I find it great on Olympia, since he naturally generates a ton of Gold and has no real payoff for them (at least not now that Cash In is gone). But yeah, on Betsy it sucks. The token doubling effect only really helps Bet Big, and the +3 and Overpower for 2 cost is already close to Betsy's own hero power.
Maybe consider putting the music down a notch, barely hear you mate
