The Guitarist with the beanie hat that looks so chilled is the reason I love the Chili's, John Frusciante, the greatest guitarist alive. This promo was put together just before he left the band for about 6 years as the voices of 400 ghosts in his head were telling him he did not deserve dame and had to become a hard core junky for a few years. Thankfully they also told him when to stop, though only after he died twice through overdosing, thankfully people got to him in time, each of those times, to bring him back, and he then went on to become an even better guitarist/musician.
Additional Red Hot Chili Peppers tunes: Scar Tissue, Soul to Squeeze, Otherside, Give it Away and Californication. The singer has such a smooth voice with deep, rich undertones. The band is pretty humorous in the way that they approach their music, presentation of their music and likely life in general. Serious subjects set to a nice groove while being pretty in everyones face & clowning around at the same time; I think makes them a pretty solid band.

This song is about heroin addiction. The two main guys of the original line up became addicted to heroin and the guitarist, Hileal Slovac, died of an overdose. This was Anthony Kiedis's best friend since they were kids. Sometimes I feel like my only friend
Is the city I live in, the city of angels
Lonely as I am, together we cry
I drive on her streets 'cause she's my companion
I walk through her hills 'cause she knows who I am
She sees my good deeds and she kisses me windy
Well, I never worry, now that is a lie
I don't ever wanna feel
Like I did that day
Take me to the place I love
Take me all the way
I don't ever wanna feel
Like I did that day
Take me to the place I love
Take me all the way
Yeah, yeah, yeah
It's hard to believe that there's nobody out there
It's hard to believe that I'm all alone
At least I have her love, the city, she loves me
Lonely as I am, together we cry
I don't ever wanna feel
Like I did that day
Take me to the place I love
Take me all the way
I don't ever wanna feel
Like I did that day
Take me to the place I love
Take me all the way
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Oh, no, no-no, yeah, yeah
Love me, I say, yeah yeah
One time
Is where I drew some blood
(Under the bridge downtown)
I could not get enough
(Under the bridge downtown)
Forgot about my love
(Under the bridge downtown)
I gave my life away
Yeah, yeah
Oh, no, no-no-no, yeah, yeah

The guitarist is John Frusciante. He has solo work as well, his song Murderers is joint-worthy.
Love this track they are a great group.Your face when the voices came in, it is beautifully composed piece.
Thanks for doing the song, great vid! RHCP are some of the best live performers ever! Ohhh, do you guys remember live music?? (sad face)
I've heard all their songs, my 4th child loved these guys. She use to explain the songs to me. 👍👍Mr. V. 💕💕
This is one of my favorite songs by them.. thank you
Yep, you GOTTA check out Give It Away. It's almost a requirement. See how chill they are. Red Hot for sure!
Got that right! When he says they’re chill- I’m like “oh, just you wait!” Lol ✌️✨
This is about when he kicked heroin and how he never wants to feel like that again!! He's losing his addiction, not gaining it! It's about both the isolation of addiction and recovery.
This song is about heroin addiction. The two main guys of the original line up became addicted to heroin and the guitarist, Hileal Slovac, died of an overdose. This was Anthony Kiedis's best friend since they were kids. Anthony Kiedis wrote this as a poem about how he was feeling after his best friend died & battling his own demons and struggles with addiction.
I love their song Otherside. One of my absolute favorites
Rewinding for the hair. "What the hell, what products do you use?" cracked me up. A perfect example of how watching the video distracts from the song.
No question the best Red Hot Chili Peppers song. @Mr. Video good that you reacted to this song
They are beyond amazing they are all over there 50s and still singing and performing
Yes!! Finally some Red Hot Chili Peppers!! 🤙🤙 Thank you!
This song still makes me cry. Give It Away is a good one. I don't think that's ever made anybody cry.
Solid beats today, Leo!
The angels singing in the background were john frusciante (guitarist) mother choir group.
These guys have so so so many good songs. Great choice brother
A couple of good songs from them are By The Way and Breaking The Girl.
Very much a Hendrix style chord progression w tasty inversions. An alt rock classic 🤙🤙
I love this song. Addiction weather heroine or sugar will make you feel alone in a crowd of people. It's so isolating. Thanks for playing this song.
When it comes this band, it is all about that bass.
100k subscribers coming my dude ! Keep doing what you do!
I don’t ever wanna feel like I do this year! Sending love to the lonely folks. I’m with y’all!
I have been a huge fan since forever, my cousin gave me the headphones and playing in the walkman was "Give it Away." I was sold immediately.
