@@foxymisshollywood4638 Him and especially John Frusciante! John was in terrible shape after leaving the band the 1st time. Scar Tissue was really about all of them and the crap they survived and the peace they finally found. I think Anthony said this in the commentary of the music video I have on DVD. Which is probably why they made the song so damn peaceful and smooth, to illustrate where they all are now.
Fun fact about this song: the choir is John Fruschante (the guitarist) mums choir. Breaking The Girl is one of my all time faves by RHCP. I'd also recommend Get On Top
@@consolegaming1788 he wasn't for Mothers Milk, One Hot Minute, I'm With You and Dark Necessities but is working on the latest album as the let Josh Klinghoffer go to get him back
@@snurgette1 where are both of you getting your info from? Mother's milk, bssm, cali, by the way, stadium are all johns album. Hillel did self titled, freaky stylely, uplift mofo. Dave did one hot minute and Josh did I'm with you and the getaway
Fun fact- Anthony Kiedis's godfather wad Sonny Bono. Cher, yes that Cher who was Sonny bono's wife at the time used to babysit Anthony when he was a little kid.
Hell nah...more like the green ranger looks like Anthony Kiedis from the RHCP. This is based off a poem Anthony wrote about doing drugs in LA...under a bridge.
I love that no matter who is listening to this, without fail, they will always start grooving with that amazing bass. This song shows how important bass is, and it’s most powerful when there’s not any for as long as this song, then bam BASS.
It is about doing drugs under a bridge, a drug not a plant. The band has been through that with band mates and it was all about that. Really glad you really listen to lyrics.
If you’ve ever seen the original Point Break with Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves, Anthony Kiedis the lead singer of Red Hot Chili Peppers is in that movie
I'm pretty sure the intro and the rest of the guitar parts were done by John Frusciante, not Hillel Slovak (who unfortunately died back in the day). Frusciante is very much alive as miraculous as that might be with all the drugs and all.
I just have to say the songs about shooting up heroin under the bridge that's exactly what it is that's what it's about I know from experience because I've been fighting addiction for almost 10 years and finally I've been 10 months clean
You were right with both points tbf! It is about the city he loves, he feels alone while lost in the world of drugs and isolated from his friends and family but he feels like he can always fall back on the city of angels of LA where he spent a lot of his youth growing up because he has such a deep connection with it and finds comfort. And then obv the second point about taking drugs, he was a huge heroin addict and I believe he got inspiration to write under the bridge from a time he bought drugs with his friend and was close to getting into a bad fight/killed by them and ran away and that was one of his lowest points. I could be wrong about that though!
Back in the day my Tio got me into the " hair bands" and rock and will always be a hair bands girls!!! I still have a crush on Vince Neil from Motley Crew.
This song was actually a poem he wrote in his "song book"...years before....one of the band saw it and asked what it was...so he read it out loud...the band said let's make this a song....here we are now
Actually it was not the band but rick rubins idea. This was just a poem written by anthony but rick rubin forced them to make it as a song. The rest is history.
Under the Bridge is were the Mexican"s hungout with best Heroin!! But White Boy's couldn't cop , so found a hot Mexican girlfriend so he could get on!! Lolo. Best Book to read is "Scar tissue " by Anthony Kedis. INSANE read
Like I said I don't want to ever feel like I did that day he's talking about you know shooting up under the bridge downtown is where I drew some blood that means obviously drewing blood from a needle most of all his songs are usually about heroin or drugs
If you want to do q chili peppers binge I suggest you try a few different songs because they cover pretty much any genre. Joe- raggaeish, someone- 50s doowhopish, ready made (live)- a bit more heavy, power of equality punk/funk, righteous and the wicked-punk funk, slow cheetah- slow and pretty,
Its was about his Heroin addiction
"Is where I drew some blood
(Under the bridge downtown)
I could not get enough"
Yep. It's about doing heroin under a bridge where the junkies hang out.

🔥🤘😎👍🔥 #HollaSquad
RHCP is one of those bands that made their own sound and made it work.
*RHCP - Give it away* 🙏
totally agree. BUT they sucked everytime John wasn´t in the band.
Had to Subscribe when he said “My man look hella majestic, it look like he selling Old Spice or something” 💀
City of angels in this case is LA. A couple of the band members are often times court side for the Lakers too.
Glad you came across this. One of my favorite songs as a teen. You would probably like some other Chili Pepper stuff a bit more.
Fun fact- Anthony Kiedis's godfather wad Sonny Bono. Cher, yes that Cher who was Sonny bono's wife at the time used to babysit Anthony when he was a little kid.
He doesn't look like Tommy from the Power Rangers, Tommy looks like Anthony Kiedis form the RHCP.
That’s Anthony’s mom and her church choir friends singing in the background...they killed it!
ya they were amazing - took the song to another level. You could tell he wasn't ready for them to jump into the song LOL
It was John's mom not Anthony's

yeah men haha this come out in 1992 power rangers in 1995 i think
This song is about the singers struggle with addiction and the isolation an addict feels. Theres some other points too but that's mostly it
React to scar tissue
This is a good choice
I love that no matter who is listening to this, without fail, they will always start grooving with that amazing bass. This song shows how important bass is, and it’s most powerful when there’s not any for as long as this song, then bam BASS.
Same time period, Faith No More-Epic, the Wong and the video are well... Epic 😂🤣😂🤣
Damn song not Wong 😂😂😂🤐
Ever since you said it’s tommy from the power rangers I can’t unsee it!!! Lmaoooo

Absolutely love this song thanku so much take care love an god bless x
Hell yeah I always say 'Thats a Sunday afternoon song' and people look at me funny. Good to know Im not the only one.
One of the best songs of the 90s. Great guitar intro from the original guitarist who passed away
I'm pretty sure the intro and the rest of the guitar parts were done by John Frusciante, not Hillel Slovak (who unfortunately died back in the day). Frusciante is very much alive as miraculous as that might be with all the drugs and all.

Snow is superb.
ROAD TRIPPIN!!!! That would be great, if you get to it
This song is beautiful too though
LMAO at Tommy from the Power Rangers! Yes... the song is about addiction. Yes... Los Angeles is the city he is referring to.
Chili Peppers - Higher Ground (music video) - trust me, you will like it.
Back in the day my Tio got me into the " hair bands" and rock and will always be a hair bands girls!!! I still have a crush on Vince Neil from Motley Crew.

You're awesome!! Scar Tissue, Californication, and Aeroplane, are some good RHCP songs to check out.
Here is some Info for you homie. They were in Ice Cube’s video Wicked ,and Flea the bass player played bass on Young MC’s Bust A Move.
Since you're checking out groups from the 80s/90s, check out Fishbone, too. Take a listen to "I Wish I Had a Date."
Red Hot.... straight up LA
It's about him walking around LA mourning the overdose death of his friend - under the bridge is where they used to shoot up.
"Under the Bridge" is where he shot heroin, that's what the song is about lol
I just wanna say, I've never seen Tommy and Anthony Kiedis in the same room sooo...🤷🤔
🔥🧡🔥🧡🔥

It is about the city. It's just that LA can offer a lot of good and bad things.
That's Anthony Kiedis the lead singer of The Red Hot Chili Peppers not Tommy from the Power Rangers
All RHCP songs are good :)
