I love how clean and fresh this turned out. The shower curtain gives it the right amount of pop of color. I hope you do an update in 6 months or more on how well the painted tile holds up. I’m so curious about that. Great job!

My mom done this to her old brown bath and tile wall. The paint started peeling off the bottom of the bathtub maybe a year later ☹️

Nice video. Great ideas. I'm 73 and decided that my ugly basement bathroom needed a make over. Some guys came to give me "estimates". What they say is true, if you are old, scammer will come out of the woodwork. The first two (decided not to waste more time), both wanted to redo my MAIN bathroom instead (which is just fine, and has a beautiful Art Deco window, which they both wanted to remove). One said $18,000 dollars (for a small bathroom) went down to $12,000, after I started LAUGHING. The second wanted $10,000 to put in PLASTIC (oops, sorry, vinyl) walls. I decided to buy a new sink and have a plumber install it, in the BASEMENT. I can do the shower enclosure (thanks for the tips), the toilet is fine. I learned to tile years ago and my dad had me as his painting assistant from the time I was 8. He had this crazy compulsion of re-painting our house every year (did not trust my brother) and he demanded perfection. I had to learn FAST. LOL

I loved the retro pink! That is so back in style. My grandparents bought a new build in L.A. back in 1963 with a pink bathroom like that and it was so cool.

When i purchased my first home i used the tub&tile paint kit for the tub. Its been 7yrs now and I have not had any issues with the paint. It still looks bright white and brand new..👍
However i know ppl that have had theirs peel over time. I think that has a lot to do with how you prep& clean the surface before painting..
@Bree Yah Yeah I believe epoxy last 10-15 yrs before needing a repaint. Ofcorse keeping it clean of mold&moisture helps it last.

Thank you so much! The floor you can actually finish in two days and lightly walk on it after the 2nd or 3rd day. So I say go for it. You can place a piece of cardboard over after it dries to lightly use the bathroom.

I agree with your decision to add a colorful shower curtain and do a white wall with a few elements that pop. The simplicity is visually interesting. It makes the bathroom look bigger and makes it feel calming and relaxing.
One suggestion you should spray paint the duct/register cover (on the floor), black or white to blend with tile. It would look clean and cohesive.

Hi Tanisha! So funny. I just finished updating my outdated bathrooms by painting my vanities and replacing the fixtures. I just need to replace the heads. All the interior doors were already replaced by the previous owners. Great job!

@@Toolboxdiva Absolutely! All of the finishes in my home are oil rubbed bronze because that's what the previous owners put in and I just continued it but I also love the black as well.

Yes you can with the tile and tub refinishing kit. Just make sure to scrub and remove any soap that's built up over the years.

I love rustoleum paint! I used it to do a face lift for my kitchen counters and they came out beautiful! I finished them with a flat finish polycrylic and love them every day
