    Excellent job. I’ve been thinking about making one for my bolt action war game.. Got an idea to do it like a ww2 German bunker you see in Normandy. Thank you for giving me the inspiration to get on with it . Rob

    Subscribed and liked! You have an excellent eye for color placement and realistic detail.
    The only thing I would do differently is to add guides on either side of the doorway (inside), to prevent the dice from hanging up.
    Thank you for posting this very inspiring tutorial, and best of luck in your future projects!

      Thank you! I actually did put two pieces of foam in the corners to prevent the dice from getting stuck. It works most of the time but it certainly could’ve been done more efficiently! I’m glad you found the video inspiring!

      I’d highly recommend it! It was an absolute blast to make and it being something you can actually interact with more so than scatter terrain made it that much more enjoyable for me! I’d love to see what you come up with!

    • @TheCraftCave
      @TheCraftCave  4 месяца назад +1

      Thank you so much! Of course!
      Materials:
      1/4 inch foam board
      1 Inch XPS Foam
      Light green course flocking (for fine moss detail)
      Evergreen Craft Moss (for vines)
      Yellow/Green static grass
      Acrylic paints
      Hot glue
      Masking tape
      Tools:
      Utility knife
      Low Hot glue gun
      Brass wire brush
      Paint brushes
      Makeup brush (for dry brushing)
      Note: if I were to remake this I would use the sponge painting technique of the red and yellow undercoat and the over brush my greys on top of that and I would use more washes! @@TheCraftCave Perhaps you can consider reducing the background volume levels or maybe you can increase your own voice over input volume levels. Basically, make what you say be the center of attention and have the music just for ambience.

    • @TheCraftCave
      @TheCraftCave  8 месяцев назад

      @@govindnair20 that’s definitely something I’ve been working to find a good balance on, thank you for that feedback! I’ll try to balance that a little better next time!
