to keep the dice from falling through the window you could have glued a small piece of clear soda bottle to the inside of the window.

LOL! Luved your 'minute and a half' comment @ 2:34 and your sticker on the vise.
Great dice tower. Like it better than the one I made. Also enjoying the zen of hand tools. Nothing like going old school sometimes. As for the 'overly dramatic' ending, two thumbs up.
Ideas huh, ... how about a game shelf?
They are rectangular in shape so they can be used vertically or horizontal. It also makes them modular if you have several combined. The shelves themselves are in a X pattern, like a wine bottle bin. Since game boxes and RPG books came is assorted sizes, you can alter the shelf space by having some fixed and some adjustable, or add some vertical/horizontal shelves/supports. The bonus is that while this may sound like a niche 'gamer' item, it's actually a great way to spruce up any home bookshelf system.
(Interior designers love simple things like this they can charge more for.)

This video was amazing and an so happy you ended up making it. I saw the notification when the video was released but due to crazy work time of year and exciting/hectic new family things it took me this long to watch. But loved it. My favorite part was the integration/tie-in to the dice tray that inspired the request.
Also comment on the most recent videos focusing on hand making, not power tools. It is a big motivator for me to try that. I often times just have a project I want to do and I just rush through it to get it done in the limited time I have instead of allowing myself to enjoy the process.

Glad to see you back making stuff. 👍. Here are some of my suggestions for builds. ( You asked, haha). Stereo cabinet, hand built shop speakers , LP/CD/DVD holder, memorial type stuff for lost loved ones, how to choose blades for wood/metal cutting IE: speed/number of teeth, eye/ear pro recommendations. That should get you started. 😁

Love the tower I think the only add-ons I would do would be small bricks around the door the window and maybe the top but overall beautiful work

looks great! and since its walnut I wouldn't change a thing (except i might use padauk only for the fact that i love the colors red/ orange). Another idea would possibly wood burn rock stencils into the side???
Also here is a build idea (since you like gaming stuff so much (toy chest, fallout vault, dice trey/tower, etc...) i want you to see if you can make a wood prop of one of your favorite weapons from any show, movie, book, or video game!

What a great video. I ended up finding your channel by pure chance when I was watching workbench videos. After watching several the one came up with you and your daughter building a new bench together. I have three young children and I am just getting into woodworking myself so I am hoping that they take an interest and want to work with me like you and your daughter did in that one. Listening to her ask questions and learn as she helped you do things was so beautiful mate.
I would have left a comment on that one but the comments section was turned off for that particular video. Anyways I am now flicking through your channel and looks like you have some amazing videos so have subscribed and turned on notifications.
Keep up the good work and cherish that amazing bond between you and your daughter. Money can buy most things in life but things like that are priceless. Here’s hoping my children are inquisitive and inspired by woodworking too. I would love them to want to work with me on things. Truly amazing my friend 🙏🏼

@@WyldeWoodworks hi mate thanks for the reply. Yes it was that video. How did the bench turn out in the end? It looked great and you said you would do an update in a year or two to show any work it may need once the wood has fully finished drying out and maybe twisted or bowed a bit.

@@MrMonero Yeah about a year ago I did an update video called "2 years in the making workbench pt 2". It needed surprisingly little work.

One piece of flair? If you feel that the bare minimum is enough, then ok, but some people choose to use more, and we encourage that. Ok? You do want to express yourself don't you?

No one needs a f^&king dice tower.
If you feel the need to verify someone's roll, that person should be out of the game.
Making a cheat use a dice tower breaks the party plus all it really does is ensure that cheat will not cheat in THAT way - they're still going to cheat every other way they can think of.
In addition, towers take up a disproportionately huge chunk of real estate, are awkward as f&^k and greatly slow down actually rolling the damn dice.
AND having one almost certainly means you're playing an RPG as if there were a win condition, which means you're playing DnD, and haven't bothered trying anything else.
