Wow, I did not realize so many unique, classy elements were incorporated into this car. My jaw kept dropping.
The ZF transmissions definitely vary from car to car. They are totally computer controlled which allows manufacturers to program how they feel.
Every single time, if you had to choose a car and you got a V12 or something else, go for the V12, we're car addicted, that's the right option! Thank you guys, as always, you guys are the best!

Well people who have driven the V12, V8 and V12 AMR say that the V8 is the best one, same say people who have driven Bentayga W12 and V8, I love V12s but some cars are better with a V8

This car looks cool and sounds cool! I love the body line from the bottom of the front fender to the corner of the door and the floating roof. Plus the wide, flat stance just gives it a lot of presence. There are a lot of crazy paint and leather colors on the website so you can customize everything. Future GT cars to test: Bentley Continental GT & AMG S63.

All zf gearboxes are Electronic, and fullt customisable. Hard/softshift, Line pressure for engagement force, Shiftpoints, Shifttimes, torque scaling during launch etc.
These can also be remapped for custom setups pretty easily.

I saw the new lime green vantage on the road couple days ago, it is really stunning!!! From the picture or video you don't see that, it just beautiful when you see it in real life!
I think the older ones look a bit better as well, but this car is certainly pretty. Nothing quite like the sound of a V12... Amazing.

All things considered, not too bad for an Aston Martin. A used 2017 Vanquish (with a whopping 34 miles on the odometer) near me has an asking price of $300k!
Depends on the model, you can get a 4-door Rapide S for a steal these days. My local Aston Martin dealer has a new 2017 model for $179,000.
For some reason I think my actual favorite thing about this car is that the doors open slightly upwards. I barely noticed it until I saw it on Top Gear , but now it's all I can see. Very cool

Aston Martin makes the most beautifully crafted and designed GT cars in the world and what's also great is they are all still hand built in England and i dont care they get their engines msde by AMG and the infotainment system from Mercedes last generation. Aston Martin is all about mixing ultra luxury and quality with supercar performance! Love em

Great vid as always. Loved your discussion on the auto trans and being myth busters. I’ve recently driven the auto Camaro ZL1 with the 10-spd auto codeveloped with Ford. Then drive a 2018 Mustang with same trans. It was a COMPLETE night and day experience. Go get the best Stang and ZL1 auto and then compare. It’s so different!

Hey Jakub and Yuri I like your reviews a lot, and today I would like to say THANK YOU. For a long time I was wondering a new car and finally I got it. Here in Brazil every car is expensive with tons of government taxes. A lot of people buy Hondas HR-V with the same boring 1.8 liter engine and CVT. But hey I realized that I would prefer something different and faster. So with the same money I bought a top version and classic design VW Jetta 2.0 TSI 211hp and 207lb-ft and the gorgeous dual clutch 6-speed DSG gearbox. Oh... it does not rewind satellite radio and fortunately it has very little piano-black inside (and passes the visor test). So... thank you!

DB11's Direct competitors are Bentley Continental GT (NEW), Mclaren 570GT and Porsche 911 Turbo S (Quickest AWD Drag King)....Each of these serve their own purpose..

The whole pseudo spoiler design is genius, love that and wish more manufacturers implemented something like it. It gives the car a bit more subtlety. But that infotainment system is unforgivable very "un-James Bond" like for a car that prides itself on being driven by Bond.

@Yuri Tereshyn, was the interior of the car unusually loud? It seemed like the car was telegraphing rough road conditions that is really apparent at 10:48 and 13:29
And the soft focus of the center camera was distracting me throughout the entire video, it seemed like the camera had it's focal point a bit closer to the dash rather than on the driver's eyes.

That is such a classy car. I prefer these more refined elegant looks to the more extreme supercar looks. Great shots of the car in motion, especially the stuff showing how it handles over rough surfaces.
The transmission can be tuned and is tuned differently between manufactures and individual models. There are transmission control units, just like engine control units(TCU/ECU).

ZF is an automotive parts supplier that makes a ton of stuff, so not all ZF transmissions will be the same. It’s just a brand that makes parts for OEMs like Magna, Continental, Denso, Magneti Marelli, etc.
Yes, more exotic comparisons of coupes with front mid-engine with rear transaxle cars. Bentley Continental versus RR Dawn versus Aston Martin versus Ferrari Portofino versus Jaguar F-Type SVR versus Corvette C7 versus Maserati GranTurismo versus Mercedes AMG GT.

The DB11 WITHOUT the 2-tone paint job (commonly a body color and a black roof) looks excellent. The 2 tone paint job on these looks atrocious, but with only one color throughout, it looks stunning. Love the review btw

I'm not a fan of the current floating roof design trend, but I will say that this is by far the best application of it that I've seen. Good job Aston Marton. The side profile of this car is freakin' sexy af.

You captured this beautiful vehicle with elegance and passion, and the right amount of sillyness. Floor it for the enviroment in a W12, classic. With all this customizing I wonder if you could get this in right hand drive, like B(ritish)DM. And Lambos are fun ( I guess ) and comparing them is too, but given that kind of cash, I would get the Aston for the refined style. Yuri has a nice watch but is still missing his newest piece of jewelry in this one ;) have fun in Italy!

volume control: press + or - if you want to, but do it the easy way, by sliding your finger across the bars on the face of the radio between the + and - from left to right or right to left to change volume in one motion.
too bad the db11 doesn't come with a backseat delete option and a manual option, because IMO it's much better looking than the vantage.
Aston Martin...my fantasy car to own. The design to me is just the sexiest thing on the road, both externally and internally. Really enjoyed the drive!

Another excellent review and a new record for how many times the word ‘luxury’ has been used ... 37 (?) times! Beautiful car. Truly a work of Art. However.... I don’t know if it is more impressive than a Vantage or the Vantage. The lines on this DB-11 seem somewhat ‘forced’ - where functionality trumps Style. Maybe it’s just me though. Thanks for the video. Well done.

You should do something like the DougScore, but kind of like the "TheStraightCarPipeRideHypeScore...board". Maybe as a new thing in 2019, but to have the bigger perspective in terms of comparisons. Maybe put the cars into categories and use the same factors like "lightning-fast" and "zeus-fast". That would be pretty awesome - Love the car btw, nice review of it
