Maddie, there's a saying in the construction world that when doing a home renovation, if everything goes smoothly, check again because you've obviously done something wrong.🤣 You girls stay safe! As always BIG HUGS from America!

Maddie and Elli, there is no question that both of you are "All In" to the tremendous energy needed to keep going day after day no matter what the weather is! 6 months in Germany WOW! with the ducks, beautiful gardens and sweet Eliza, all making your lives richer. Your optimism and going at your own pace tackling the renovation will make all of this worthwhile. Maddie, thank you for the drone shots--they definitely helped me understand the roof work and getting the insulation put on. Cheers~

This is a drama played out in the outdoors as opposed to being done on a stage. The message as pointed out in this post is life is a struggle. It takes perseverance, determination and strength often exerted when you think you're all out. The first two qualities are what allow you to go deep within to tap your last reserve of energy that you never knew existed. This is delayed gratification in 3-D...what seems endless is conquered mentally and spiritually seeing the final result in your minds eye. Bravo for your example.

Just some unimportant information: what they use for insulation is wood wool. It is more expensive than glass wool and not as effective against cold, but very effective against heat. So that is the best they could choose for the roof. I am curious if they put some wood fiber on top and cover with wooden planks. This roof alows to use the space to the roof and safe a lot of money for heating. Well done girls. That will double the value of the house.

It will be a fuse or circuit breaker that is blown due to the water infiltration. Once everything is dry replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker and you should be just fine. At first reading your title for your next blog horrified me thinking you were using “ the storm” to get more hits….. what has happened in Asheville and Florida is very sad. Hopefully that is not your intentions. I have been following you since you started. Keep working hard.

We are consulting with the roofers! They are giving us step by step instructions and we’re doing the labor. We are opening the ceilings up in the attic to expose the beams :)

FEMA find every Mexican available not helping? I thought we had so many Mexicans available since they crossing the border in herds 😂. Them Mexicans helped me back in 07 when my home got flooded due to a tropical storm,
