I’m just amazed that this adventure began with a random trip to Costa Rica where Maddie and co. met up with a lovely German tourist. Now you two are in Germany thriving and do amazing to renovate this house. So happy for you two. ❤
Nice to see you girls so settled and calm this morning. Time, there’s never enough but never take it for granted. Live each moment with savor. Much love to you both
I have years under my belt doing renovations both professionally and personally. I would say somewhere along the way every project I’ve had to shift my plan of attack or after it was done wish I had done it slightly differently so please don’t think your skill level is preventing you from doing it ’perfect’. You’re doing it which is awesome!
Maddie and Elli, you've both brought your hearts and souls together for this incredible renovation and it certainly shows! The Q&A was refreshing and honest, which are just part of enjoyment of watching these videos. Loved the cozy feeling in the library----and especially those cute socks you were wearing! ~Cheers
You ladies are so good together. you are ying and yang to each other and that's perfect. I can't wait to see all you accomplish in the near and far future! THANK YOU, for sharing!
I started watching your van life videos a couple years ago because they were interesting. Now your Germany videos have stayed interesting in different ways. You two are around the age of my kids so it's fun to watch you explore the world in ways that I haven't. Early this year, probably when Elli joined you in the van for a month or so, I commented that you two seem to energize each other. That comment remains true today.
I loved this cozy Q&A ☕ I'm enjoying all your videos and I love you two together! Thank you for sharing this💛 you deserve to wine down for the upcoming winter season .
Maddy the fact that you have been there for six months and are doing good is a testament to Ellie and better help. Don't worry so much about your progress with learning Grman, one day you'll find that you're speaking it fluently and then you'll be like OMG!
I have been dating a German for nearly two years. After traveling back and forth to see each other we are trying to decided between settling in the US and Germany. I am very social and don't speak any German....yet. I appreciate hearing your experiences.
Maddie and Ellie, your decision to move to the country together is the best decision you could have made. 🥰🥰 You two seem to be perfect together, and in this beautiful place, oh my goodness, you have quality life and good company.
I love watching your vlogs as I get overwhelmed on projects and its good to see someone learning doing the project and succeeding. I think you both work well together and am happy for you both. Soon you will both have a nice renovated home and Maddie will learn German.
I can totally relate to missing conversation with English speaking people. We just returned from a month in Italy and it was challenging, but very fun. It’s quite cool that you have taken on this project, with little experience. Incredibly hard work! Hope your channel keeps growing. All the best from us here in California ❤️
@@Maddie.taylor You have the advantage of a built in translator with Ellie. Just going to the grocery store took so much more time using google translate to decipher the ingredients and name of the products. Hi Maddie and Elli. It has been fun watching your renovations and new life in this house. You both have been working so hard these past months, so I’m glad you will be slowing down a bit with the renovation work. What I really wanted to say though is that for me it’s perfectly okay if a project spans several videos. I know you’re both young and healthy, and can take on this much work without a problem. But I wouldn’t mind seeing you both take some time off now and then and perhaps show us what you cook or Maddie doing some art. Either way, I love the library you ladies made and look forward to seeing what the rest of the house will look like. Take care and thanks for taking us along on the journey.

Oh friends this was so lovely - Maddie, I just made the decision to completely renovate our tiny house starting in the spring... so watching you guys literally feels like its preparing me to renovate, film, and edit a RUclips video every week. haha, so thank you! And OMG I can only imagine how overwhelming and gutting it must have felt to have all the audio files corrupt?! I keep hearing how many issues people have with those... curious to know what you think.
Every time I’ve been to Germany a total stranger has approached me to tell me off for doing something trivial. Last time it happened a guy told me I mustn’t park my motorbike right outside the front door of the Airbnb I was staying at. The time before that a couple told me I’m not allowed to cook dinner with my camping cook set by the side of the road. I’ve lived in Britain my whole life where people really don’t do that kind of thing, so it’s a total culture shock any time it happens. The whole being opinionated and telling you to your face thing is something I’d struggle with if I was in your shoes.
That was really nice to watch. LMAO never enough time in the day to complete daily tasks. Have to say the design layout of the shelves the chairs, flooring in that space looks so calming. I can see why you guys were so stoked when the hard rain came timing was perfect. Cozy up in your chairs, chill out with a warm drink, do a video with the soothing sound of rain PERFECT :) CIAO GUYS Trust the process :) :) :)

You to are awesome , Ive been in the building trade since I was 16 and had my own stone mason business for for many years , , I needed a change , so got a job working with gardening machinery that sold my favourite ventrac products on RUclips. , now get to build them , money is rubbish but the job and my work mates , keep me going as now old. Love what you have both done. , I’ve just recently built a hedge house in uk for my mother to keep the wild life , that was two weeks ago , looking today had two hogs sleeping , job done ,my dad passed last year so doing my best to keep my mother happy , bless you both xx🙂
Re learning German. I found it helped to stick labels on items around the house with its German word. I used different colours so I learnt the Der Die and Das part. And when you don't know the word for something, Dingsbums (whatchamacallit) is the thing to say instead. And when it comes to replying to someone, when they are telling you their opinion on something, you can usually get away with using one of these words: krass! (incredible), wahnsinn (crazy), geil! (trendy), or fies (terrible/nasty). In fact, I believe you can say "krass" in response to most things, and they'll think you're fluent ;-)
I enjoyed your Q&A. You've made significant progress by following the process. Can you imagine the outcome if you didn't? I'm eager to see your kitchen.
Where are you ?, What's holding you up from being online, Nothing wrong I hope, Your a lovely couple, Stay happy and contented, God Bless you both, Merry Christmas to come 🙂
You guys do seem to be extremely well suited for each other. And the progress you have made so far is AMAZING! You. do live in a beautiful rural area. Keep the videos coming.
Maddie, I am going to tell a "bummer" story. My friend married a Danish man and moved there from the US. She never really learned the language, and ultimately left her husband to come back to America. They had some problems as a couple, but the biggest general issue she cited was the isolation not being able to just talk to people around her. I say this to encourage you to really prioritize learning German, especially since you mentioned the feeling of isolation. I am sure you are trying, and obviously it will take time to be able to comfortably converse with native speakers. I just would hate to see you one day feeling like my friend did.
Thank you so much for sharing your lovely Q & A with us all. Love to you both. If you need any kind of bathroom advice, I spent 15 years of my life designing and selling high end Villeroy and Boch bathrooms. Here to help if needed. Anyway, have fun, love to the ducks... XX

Morning Hawaii that was a good question and answer on life in Germany
Thank you ladies❣️
Great getting to know you two differently
You both look more happier now
Re learning German.
Thank you!!! 🙏😄
Haha krass! love that
Loved this, thank you so much for sharing. (only shed a few tears for lack of duck content ;) )
you must keep yourselves and your home warm

We’ve been enjoying our evenings with Gilmore girls so much 🫶🏼🍁
Maddie, I am going to tell a "bummer" story.
Are you both in a relationship or just really good friends
I thought I missed that part of the video.
I so want to move to northern Germany just to be around people who are just honest.
Northen Germany, alright! I knew it! You 2 people need to come sometime later to visit Sweden where I live. Great!
We would love to ✨
Thank you so much for sharing your lovely Q & A with us all. Love to you both. If you need any kind of bathroom advice, I spent 15 years of my life designing and selling high end Villeroy and Boch bathrooms. Here to help if needed. Anyway, have fun, love to the ducks... XX
Thank you ! We might take up on that offer ! I wish we could start the bathroom renovation in the next months, but don’t think we’ll have the money 😅

Ove the library!
Nice to get to know you a little more, to know a little about then, now and future.
Perhaps a little more energy for the paetrion can bring in a little more money for continued renovation
Take care of each other and enjoy everyday life
True, I really, really need to be better on Patreon. Take care and thank you for sticking around
