About the Honda Accord 1.5 Sport and I love it. It was a showroom model and custom seats that were black and blue in the outside was steel night blue color. It has been awesome so far
For peak performance and mileage, use Chevron with Techron 87 octane gasoline and even though you only have 5,000 miles, when you change your oil, use Valvoline High Mileage 0W-20 Full Synthetic for maximum protection and the Mobil 1 Extended Performance Oil Filter, you can go 7000 miles between changes. Also, invest in a K&N Air Filter both for the engine and cabin when they become available. I have a 2017 Accord LX and I use those products exclusively, my vehicle performs flawlessly. One final suggestion, when traveling at highway speeds and your cruise control is set, press the Econ button, it changes the engines throttle response and reduces the Air Conditioning load to give you better MPG. Cheers.
I bought the red 18 Accord sport 1.5 L model over a week ago and I love it but I agree with you that the sound system is terrible. I would like to know what kind of upgrade you did with the sound. Thanks.
Living in Montana and having come out of a 2005 Accord EX, I appreciate the heated seats, heated side mirrors, remote start and the fact I can listen to Sirius Satellite in the 2018 EX. The only thing I dislike is the fact it sits lower than my old Accord. BTW - Accords always have been and still are made in Ohio.
Just an FYI... this car is made in Marysville OH, was designed and engineered here as well. I believe the parts content is about 60% USA... Thats dagonne 'Murican!!!! love than channel. Keep the vids comin.... Im an very close to pullin the trigger on a 2018 Accord 2.0t 6Speed!!!
EXCELLENT!! I just took delivery last night! LOVE it but the stereo is terrible. Honda should be ashamed of themselves for putting that garbage in a $30k car. Other wise its perfect =D
same to you my friend, Looking forward to hear about how you upgrade it... Side note, have you had any issues yet? My Apple Carplay is glitchy AF. Ive tried 3 cables and made sure my iOS is up to date but no luck. Taking it in tuesday.
I appreciate the video and am glad you like your car. I've been an Accord driver since 1991, and I watched your video about what you disliked about the car first then watched this one. I found most of your detractors legitimate (I'm especially appalled by the sound system comments; my 1999 Accord came with a fantastic sound system, and even my 1991 was good for its day). I liked your comments about the logic and simplicity of the cabin controls and layout. What I find extremely off-putting is the pointless pushbutton gear selector in the upscale models. I really wanted to like the 2018 Accord but just can't. The exterior aesthetics and lack of a V-6 (I don't want the lag, whine, or additional maintenance of a turbo) sealed the deal for me. I genuinely appreciated both your pros and cons, but no new Accord for me.
I just picked up a 2018 white Honda Accord 1.5T. I’ve had it for about a week and so far only 1 complaint in a 1 week review. The radio does kinda suck. I say kinda because it is pretty clear sounding. The sucky part is the bass. I’ve had a 2004 Honda Accord stock radio which I thought had amazing bass. Also a 2006 Honda Accord had much better bass. For the 2018 Honda Accord I rate the stereo system a 7 out of 10.
How is the CVT transmission? I haven't driven one yet but in the past there were very mixed reviews. The increased gas mileage is attractive but I am thinking about going with the 10-speed automatic.
I have the 10-speed on this car (2.0T Sport) and there is a definite MPG hit. I regularly get 24 MPG City and 28 Hwy. Hitting cruise control at around 75 MPH and coasting will get you around 35 if that's the type of driving you do. Hope I could help!
When you say, "I'm a big fan of American made cars", do you not realize that Honda & Toyota are the most American made on the market? Not only are they assembled in Ohio and Kentucky respectively, they also contain the most (percentage) of American made parts.
As fas as the suapensions, I wanna point out another flaw, I have 2012 accord , I think all accords are heavy with stiff suspension unlike , for example, Toyota Camry which is more floatier. So, people usually abuse their accords in pothole, uneven roads and bumps and drive them as if they drive SUV or truck and driving this fashion will definitely harm the car and will lose value, shape and will not last long. Accord drives have to bear in mind that this car is heavy and need to take it slowly in uneven roads, and potholes
I play tunes from my ipad-pro hooked up toe the system...speaker sound great. Radio not so good, but I don't listen to music on the radio, just talk radio so who cares there.
I’m glad you like our new Accord Sport. I make these Accords here in Ohio and own a 2013 Accord Sport myself.
Awesome car! I love it.
Thank you for making the Earth a more enjoyable place!!
Thanks for maybe building my car. I’m really enjoying it.
Dude that is awesome. Thanks for help keep family's safe on the road and giving us some awesome cars.
Nikola Vonfulton, Anytime. I'm proud to build a quality car that's safe and economical for our customers.

I own the touring model. My absolute favorite feature is the HUD. I haven't glanced at the speedometer since I got it. Just hit 20,000 miles, love it.
Grant Preece I also just got the 2018 Honda Accord Touring and that is also my favorite feature being the HUD.

Good to know!! Thanks for the support. Definitely more videos to come. 2.0T 6speed would be an awesome car!

Congrats on the new car! I love mine as well. Stereo will be upgraded soon.

No issues with Apple Carplay for me. I love it. Hopefully you can get it figured out soon. Thanks for supporting the channel.
I will receive my car after few days, pretty excited about it❤️👍🏻

2018 Accord 2.0T Touring purchased on 4/21/18. Love it!
Congrats!
GarageProjects Thank you. You as well.
The Car Crazy Guy How's it holding up so far?
Ryan Littleton So far so good!

galaforte had a BMW, audi and Acura before and the transmission honestly is fine.

Did you ever decide what to do with the sound system being that it’s at tad bit weak?
I will post videos on the sound system changes soon. Going for a power sub with new component set
Great video!
Much appreciated!!
What trim do you have, touring, sport ?
Reliability of the turbo and cvt are to be determined. CRV has problems already.
When you say, "I'm a big fan of American made cars", do you not realize that Honda & Toyota are the most American made on the market? Not only are they assembled in Ohio and Kentucky respectively, they also contain the most (percentage) of American made parts.
Yea I know. Its actually sad. My grandpa used to work for GM. They are moving out and almost becoming a foreign automaker.
Would you ever consider changing the rear tail lights to LED?
I actually did think about that. I'm not a huge fan of the rear taillights. Going to have to think more about it.
The Sport model doesn't have adjustable suspension, only the Touring model has that feature.
yes. suspension adjusts when you shift into sports mode
I thought so too. Also the graphic will show the shocks light up.

But will I blow out my speakers blasting music?
They need 300 hp.
i like this guys video. it just that smacking lips when he open his mouth really bothers me. please stop it . please.
Am I the only one who isn't satisfied with the sound system? It's trash in my opinion.
Sound system is absolutely terrible.
I play tunes from my ipad-pro hooked up toe the system...speaker sound great. Radio not so good, but I don't listen to music on the radio, just talk radio so who cares there.
Quit smacking your lips, are you tweaked out
