My worst failed magic story is I tried to do Divorce, the ring fell off her shoulder cause she moved to see my hand as I was making the ring disappear and we looked for the ring for like 45 minutes with the polive who were going to arrest me if I didn't find it... yeah

It’s interesting when people are so full of themselves because they got good at something, as if they never sucked in the beginning. It’s almost as though they pretend it never happened. Subbing cause I’ve been watching many of your videos, and they rock. But the main reason is because you ripped on other people, but also yourself (not the first time I’ve seen either). So happy to see awesome people with skills admit that, not only do they not always get it right, but most importantly show people that even though they may suck at something, for whatever reason, that they can overcome their sucking by persistence, effort and learning. You’re cool, talented and grounded which is surprisingly rare, keep it up man!

Serious question. I'm new to performing magic for people and I've straight up fucked up the trick like yours. How do you deal with this. I try to take it as a learning experience, but I feel like garbage for the next few hours or into the night thinking about how my stupid brain didn't do the thing it needed to do to make the trick work.
Whats your advice for the cringe.
Manof Steel Practice when you go home, and go perform again the follwing day. You know what you messed up, so You know what to look forward to practice;) Best tip would be not to focus on the trick, but more on the people. You're doing magic for them, not your props. Well.. I hope so. This might help you later ^^ have a good day man and don't give up!
Manof Steel just admit you messed up and perform the next trick. I keep some easy but powerful tricks in my backhand just in case. Do as i do, two card monty and french kiss let you recover from most fuckups. Or just do something impossible with the likes of an invisible deck.
The one thing you shouldn't do ia freeze. Learn to laugh about yourself and find your own patter. I often crack a joke about messed up tricks. As long as people around you are entertained you cannot fail.
Some fuck ups you can recover sometimes the whole trick is ruined. Sometimes you can just roll into something else. Sometimes you just say "The world is a chaotic place full of chaotic things that we can't control. What we are seeing here is just that. A genuine fuck up." I have fucked up in front of people and if you can make them laugh they wont remember it. Keep the performance going and don't let it slow you down, but always be sure to learn from it.

Manof Steel Don't think too much about it. They will laugh at you and they will forget you, because you are not that important to their life. Just do it better next time and perhaps there will be a second chance.

I don't know why, but two days ago I had the extreme urgence to start learning card tricks, since I'm a bored University student with nothing to do and too much time on my hands (I only had German "Schafkopf"-cards, so I had to buy a deck of 52 poker cards). Now I'm sitting here, rotating cards and practicing cuts and shuffles while watching your content and sincerely laughing my ass of, instead of playing Skyrim for the 345th time and watching pewdiepie scream like a lunatic.

Hey Chris. My sons (10 & 12) and I are new to cardistry/card magic and we have been using your videos to learn. I have a quick question: it seems every time I go to practice, my hands feel different (overly dry, overly moist or anywhere in between). Is there a trick to this? I find I am best off RIGHT AFTER washing my hands but it doesn't last long so, while I have never been a lotion guy or anything like that, is there something to use to help with this issue? Thanks!

John T. Shokoff, DVM try not to use sopa while washing them and dry them properly. The soap ends up drying yiur hands up even more. Before I perform i just rinse my hands, hope it makes sense.
