That skit with the keyring made me laugh out loud.
RE video editing - hole was in table but NOT cloth. Full deck later appears in exact spot with identical orientation as that first unmoved card which was actually the top card of the deck hidden below it. First, deck is positioned directly over hole covered by stretchable (latex?) tablecloth. Deck is pushed down til top card lat table table - We are looking at the full deck THE WHOLE TIME! Good one.
i love watching chris try to do the tricks on the fly when he sees them because it makes him seem like a normal person instead off a pro lol
the best part of watching him seeing the video's is see how he makes a face of confusion and then trys to laugh it away with "i think i know how" but he totally does not :D love you man, keep up the video's.
I live how he is so encouraging to everyone! Chris, you'd be a great teacher! You would rock in the classroom, students would flourish with your encouragement.
I like watching the clock behind him whenever he does a cut on his video, it really shows how much more time he spends recording than we see.
I really hope that clock doesn’t show the hours by that ball cause if so that means he has spent well over an hour recording

Actually I rewatched once the floating deck one after he said that (confirming there was clearly a way outside of editing magic) and... *think* that I've figured it out x) But yeah, the magician in that one made it a little too obvious for people scrutinizing it x)

@Jack Robinson If I am not mistaken, it's very well used transparent thread running from left to right of the screen, the deck set atop. I realized it *may* have been that with this gesture: 8:50 , and upon revisiting it seems like even his other gestures never actually get on the deck level lengthwise , where the thread would be.

Chris just to let ya know the linking key rings is a marketed effect by Jay Sankey called 3 Ring Circus and the Ben Williams effect is called Labelled released back in ‘04. Ben refined the concept and released Labelled Evolution. I bought it upon release and loved it so much that I just bought Evolution.

Just started my card collection (only 7 decks right now) and learning a few card tricks. Chris has been a major help with his videos. Currently working on one and two handed cuts, springs and trying to be consistent shooting cards and catching them. Never had so much fun making my hands cramp up......yeah I said it! Keep up the great videos Chris!

When u say double, u mean that the showed card appears twice in his deck right? Not quite familiar with the magic vocabulary

@9:40 he doesnt lift the back card off the table. the deck has been stacked on an angle to the camera so it looks like 1 card when its a the whole deck. once the cards are neatened up the deck looks like it grows.

The trick at 11:05 was a slight of hand and put the queen in the second pile with a double lift then when flipping the 3rd over he slipped the queen on top. I think

The one with the few cards becoming a full deck is a perspective trick. Any other angle, and you’d see the top card is placed to hide all the cards underneath.
It has been 7 months since Chris has given us a real magic video.

5:00 - There's another one in the neck, being hidden by the label. Either he's holding it in the neck with a magnet and releasing it, or it's just held in place with light friction and falls from the force of the bottle hitting his hand. The one in his hand just slips between the fingers and he pulls his hand away quickly.

I think the trick that starts at @9:12 could be done by proper camera angle, proper felt coloring and a slope in the table? The card that appears to be on the "bottom" never moves and is hiding the rest of the deck that is on the slope. As the cards are gathered, the hidden cards are moved into position at the same time as the ones that we saw thrown on the stack and the deck appears to grow upwards. Might just be me but it seems the cards sway just a bit on the edge a couple different times.
I'm sure I'm way off and it's all in my head though but I can imagine the trick working the way I'm thinking.

Chris your video point : 9:50, when he pushes the cards together watch the .03 second jump, its definitely edited if you watch the cards as he pushes them together your see the video was edited and he dropped other footage onto it.
The illusion at 9:13 i think is actually an illusion, i would guess that card in the back is actually already on a stack and he has it all angled to the camera to where you can't see anything under it.
When i say the thumbnail, I thought it was Matthias from "Dope or Nope"
