@@Swagoi I know it's silly fast, just would think he'd be used to it with Leroy and just having driven ruby so much, but it looks like it surprises him everytime lol
88budz Leroy kinda rolls out with clutch slip and doesn’t build as much boost off the line I don’t think also it has a more weight transfer kinda setup so it doesn’t hit hard immediately. Ruby on the other hand once you let go of the trans break it’s full boost immediately so it’s a real kick to the chest
@@Swagoi Ruby's and Leroy's 60 ft times are very close. Ruby has been a little faster in the 60 ft lately. But when Leroy was turning 7s. He was in the 1.2s just like Ruby. Think Leroy has been in the mid 1.3s lately with the 8.0 runs. PS Leroy has twin turbos. So he is building boost faster than Ruby's single.

Really ? We must be watching different videos then. Just because it's an automatic doesn't mean it's automatically going 7s. Once the new motor goes in. Yes the potential is there. The car needs the cage updated also. A minimum of a 25.5D cert to go faster than 8.50s. Yes some tracks let cars go but since people got hurt at a grudge race recently when a balancer blow apart safety is becoming more of a priority. More tracks are actually doing their jobs.
Nothing against Ruby or Garrett either. I like his content but many people who commenting don't have a clue when it comes to drag racing at this level. It's a different world once you reach the low 8s and faster on a small tire. Your now at the point when the car usually makes the power to ET faster but getting the power to the ground becomes a bigger issue.
It's not hard making power on a dyno specially with a turbo setup. Hp doesn't mean shit if you can't apply it.
Unfortunately Ruby will be lucky to even make the field. WCF has some of the fastest class cars in the country. Your not going far without a solid car. I don't believe he's going much faster than 8.50s at WCF. Don't expect 7s until you see some more bars getting added or at least he starts talking about the cage getting updated. Like many things in life. There's levels to this game and Rudy isn't there yet.
See some of us do actually know what we're talking about. As you can see from some of our comments. We didn't need today's video to know this was going to happen. We weren't being haters. Just being realistic that's all.

@@keirencowley2658 this comment of yours hasn't aged well has it? Car isn't even going to WCF. Which was a smart decision. The car isn't near ready for this level of competition or running 7s. Next year once the car is updated etc.

Tinkering with Ruby is fun but Leroy needs some love and attention. It can do mid 7s, as is, you just gotta find his sweet spot!!!
I believe he had plans for a slipper clutch for Leroy for a more consistent launch
There's many cars with the potential to go faster once you get to this point on small tires. Everyone in that class has power to go much faster. Testing is what gets you there. So I couldn't agree more that he needs little more testing Leroy.
It does seem Leroy is getting neglected messing with these other cars. If Leroy is supposed to be his lead car, seems it ought to get a little more work.

I’d like to see a front splitter on Ruby, maybe a spoiler. Very subtle, not too much at all. Hoping you stick with the tradition and use a junkyard block for the next motor! Even if it’s from a crashed LS camaro or something like that.

Steven Rittiner ....sure you did. That trans and converter is a 10k set from RPM. There is nothing wrong with that set up.

Can't remember who but pretty sure most everything has been done to it to put up with 800-1000hp launches over dozens up times.

Lol 5000 miles and countless hits at the track in my 1400hp car and the band hasn't needed to be touched since I built the trans.

Run that amsoil trans fluid, I've had c6 up to 260deg temps with 0 slippage, other fluids will typically slip in the 230s*
If you haven't already, I would highly recommend pulling the transmission pan and inspecting for clutch material. As you are aware, the trans didn't sound very happy on that last pass. I appreciate the content and keep up the good work. God Bless!

This is the reason I personally use either medal tubing & bend my own trans lines or fuel rated rubber lines, so it will hold some of the heat.
