This character teaches us a very valuable lesson: Don't let your emotions control your actions. Sometimes we think we're doing the right thing because that's what our heart tells us, but we also have to listen to our brain. Before making an important decision, sit down for a second and recognize the emotions you're feeling. Then take a few slow breaths while thinking of the bigger picture and potential consequences. This has saved me from making terrible decisions in the past which could've harmed me and/or others.
@@jamesbrinkman9332And getting yourself killed is supposed to help how, exactly? Ben could've done more good if he had stayed cool and used his brain. A dead man won't stop any evil...
@@meghanodonoghue9066 It's "fight or flight". And Ben should've done the latter before signing his own death warrant. He didn't make a decision with his brain, he just acted on his emotions with zero regard for consequences, like I wrote in my original comment.
@Ed G 657 Long story short, Ben has bipolar disorder, I believe (I could he wrong on that). But he was genuinely a kind and caring person, but he got caught up in the Byrds drug business, and he's eventually killed by the order of his sister (Marty's wife) because due to his volatile emotional state, he fails to understand the severity of everything and becomes a liability. One of the great scenes I’ve ever seen in my life. How fast Ruth came out with that jump bag and shotgun. One of the greatest characters ever
What a performance from Ben this was!! Goosebumps
I just can't never move on from Ben death, he's the sweetest and kindest
The writing and acting was just amazing in that arc
That was an intense scene and wow does he have some acting skills, I literly felt his frustration and pure anger so clearly. Great show with a great cast.
tom pelfrey is stellar
For those that do not know, the "kid" in question IS the drug cartel the mother is a lawyer for. He is the one who knocks.
No
have u even watched the show 😭

Ben’s character made me cry!! Such a good performance!!
When a good person does nothing, you are just as evil.
You also need to make decisions in an instant sometimes. We need to all master our flight or fright response.
I'd say the most important lesson is take your f****** medication LMAO JK JK
@@jamesbrinkman9332And getting yourself killed is supposed to help how, exactly? Ben could've done more good if he had stayed cool and used his brain. A dead man won't stop any evil...
@@meghanodonoghue9066 It's "fight or flight". And Ben should've done the latter before signing his own death warrant. He didn't make a decision with his brain, he just acted on his emotions with zero regard for consequences, like I wrote in my original comment.
The tragedy of good ol Ben still hurts 💔
He had that coming
What tragedy? im new here
@Ed G 657 Long story short, Ben has bipolar disorder, I believe (I could he wrong on that). But he was genuinely a kind and caring person, but he got caught up in the Byrds drug business, and he's eventually killed by the order of his sister (Marty's wife) because due to his volatile emotional state, he fails to understand the severity of everything and becomes a liability. HIGHLY recommend a full watch, the show is phenomenal.
What’s the show called
I loved Ben, "I feel sorry for" him😂😂😂😂
If it wasn’t for YT shorts like this, I never would’ve considered watching Ozark. I binged it a few months back and loved it
Ben’s reaction when she comes out with the shotgun, this scene actually made me realize how good of an actor he is
this is good acting right here damn
Nah American TV acting
@@Smokemahoun lmao you think European TV is better? UK shows are lame as fuck
@@Smokemahoun ok Joel Shittner
@@Smokemahoun nah mate- this is good. A lot of American white sicks but … yo… How you gonna say American TV hasn’t got great stuff when The Wire is literally the best show ever made- with Sopranos probably second. Sort your head out bruv.
Big ups to Marty who walks the razors edge of the most insane BS on the daily and manages to keep the calmest head in the room.
Ben was wild. Every time I saw him in the show I got nervous
I almost felt angrily like him for him. But then realized he fuked up and it wasnt his business to meddle in peoples life. He should think big and crucial especially for his life before doing that
Well he was bipolar so
You stupid?
@@TheRamstoss FYM SO? I'm bipolar. what does that have to do with thinking big?
it's called compassion genius. Not everyone can stand there watching people unknowingly get involved in fucked up shit they didn't sign up for. The "none of your business" argument is idiotic. The person mentioned doesn't even know what the business in question WAS in the first place.
@@carnelianknight5713 so you're saying you're bipolar and you would do the same as the bipolar character did, with complete disregard for your own life?
he is a great actor
Loved him in inception.
Ruth is a real one. My personal favorite character ngl.
The acting on this show is truly amazing
“GET IN THE FUCKING CAR NOW” sends me 😂
This man is an incredible actor. Everyone on the show is great but he really stood out. 👏🏾
What’s it called and where CSNU wwatch it
Ben n Ruth were really meant to be 😂😂😂 they both were crazy but Ruth was crazy smart😂😂 I fuckn love the ozarks
I was pissed when they killer her. I was mad for months.
Ben had great moral but he never thought things through 😂
This ended up saving the lawers daughter and ex husband. The daughter knew and simply said not to keep digging after the lawyers death
this guy has the social awareness of a 4chan user
I wonder if he won any awards for his role.. dude was real af!
Dude Ben’s story is so sad. I had a buddy that struggled with addiction and died from he it. We all were telling him to stop and doing the best we could but some people just can’t be helped they have to do it on their own and his character reminded me of my friends. Especially when they wouldn’t let him leave the rehab center and shit.
His death shattered me. He was just trying to look out for the daughter and it got him killed. I was not okay for a long time after he died. I wanted him and Ruth to be endgame
ik this shows fake, but it’s based in reality, and the reality is when he decided to go and uncover a cartel operation and play some high school musical shit, it’s not gonna work how it does in those movies. he was a good character but god damn was he oblivious.
@@prometheus730 he was oblivious yeah but I also get where he was coming from. Did he go about it the wrong way? 1000% but he was just trying to look out for the daughter. I hated how that whole thing played out
What the name of the movie 😂
I felt bad for Ben up until his last 24 hours of living, he seriously wasn’t grasping how serious and easy they could get him and Wendy.
Ozark was something else man. Wonderful actors and actresses.
“GET IN TH FUCKING CAR NOW”had me dying for a minute😭
Shouldn’t have stopped taking his meds
Pretty sure he stopped because it was making his dick not worklmao
Wendy should’ve let him leave when he first tried
This just made me want to re-watch the whole show 😂
What show is this?
Title pls 😢
Plsss the show mannn
Bro was the best actor in the show, not talking about Marty.
He was even better in the show Banshee. He plays an ex skinhead turned cop, and he kills that shit.
The poster boy for "clueless", "Thick as a Brick" and "No Situational Awareness".
Dead man walking.
He was the most frustrating character in the series because he refuses to acknowledge that anything he did had consequences.
He has some serious main character syndrome.
He pissed me off when he called Helen when Wendy was trying to get him away
He was the only character with morals and that pissed you off?? Says something about yourself m8
He was my favorite character in the whole show. Poor guy just wanted to stay straight.
Only appropriate reaction of any of these characters to this mess, none of the fans seem to realize this
Marty face at the end tells it all. He knew what the end of this situation would be and there was no way out of it.
He was probably the best actor in the entire show. This man sold this so character perfectly that i thought he really was unstable
