A sad song, perhaps. But his body language exudes happiness. Whenever I watch this video it's like a trip to the moon and back. Just look at his face! It radiates intelligence, SATISFACTION, joy, comaradarie, and. . .a skosh of devilment. Whenever I feel down, watching this will pick me right up!
Many cool cats in this world, but Otis was one of the coolest. He was a natural. His mannerisms tell the story . A true reflection of him and his good nature . This type of talent is special and rare.
Otis Redding is a legend . His voice radiates a soul , harmony , and sincerity that reaches into your soul and raises everything that's joyful and real from it . Thank you God for blessing us with him.
He was only 26 when he died. He was just getting warmed up! What a shame. I wonder what other great songs the world has missed out on. It's desperately sad.
otis got a lot of soul that follows no script.... that lip synching thing mix like oil and water...he sings and expresses as he feels in the moment on a song and that could mean 12 different versions of the same song. He was the best ad- libber there ever was
When you sing with the soul, there ain't a pain that can kill you ~1ofmy Mexican Proverbz Otis Redding, man! This song helped me heal a lot of those pains. It takes me back to innocence. A time where I understand Love's Pains.
Funny how some singers and some songs resonate in our hearts. All the loss, all the friends gone, my health- the reality of growing old. Its sad sometimes. but I think that Otis was trying to communicate that we are to somehow rise above the pain and the loss and find that we are really blessed by life and its passage. He was good. Then he was taken away which sometimes happens to our greatest artists throughout history. thanks for the video.
Otis is the best singer of all tym and died too soon. I can remember my mom and dad dancing to this in 73.....looking at eachother like I wasn't even in the room...now I sing these songs to my wife....and when I look in her eyez....I get it...nobody matters
Sam Cooke and Otis Redding were two incredibly talented men. They would have written and recorded a wealth of beautiful, meaningful music had they not been taken from this earth so young. They were really just beginning. Could anyone disagree with me? no
Otis and Marvin are my favorite singers ever. Did you know Sitting By The Dock Of The Bay was gonna have a 3rd verse but he passed before finishing the song.
That was the mastery of Otis. He could take a sad subject and imbibe it with a life, an energy. There was something uplifting about this song. It was sad but man what a positive message. You know that was also the schizophrenic nature of the times. That decade was one of contrasts: Vietnam vs. peace and love; racial equality vs. the riots of the Black peoples in the inner cities; sad songs that contain positive imagery.
Absolute genius. I love this footage as my dad used to play all Otis’ LP’s over & over. The joy for him & the band comes over beautifully-it could be yesterday-we are blessed🙏 love & light to all
Love it. The flow of Otis and his band chopping it up in 60's Memphis. The lighter hued men supporting the Big O...You can see the brotherly love and the camaraderie...I cannot imagine the shock and sadness to those that knew him when the plane went down. Bless you for posting this.
35ans que mon oncle m’avait fait découvrir Otis Redding et je l’écoute toujours en 2023 ❤merci canaille de m’avoir fait découvrir la vrais bonne musique ❤
I know this man music is like 16 years before my time. He" is great,he is a legend, I can listen to him all night long. I hate he died before his time. The fa fa fa song sound good to me. Thank God for bringing Otis music into our life.
One of the first songs my pop pop ever taught me when I was little. We aren’t close anymore but I’m grateful that he put me on early to music like this and I’m 30 still listening to it
I just stumbled on this video looking up this song I've known about but I never knew the video existed, my eyes are welled up in tears and I smiled the whole time watching this.❤
maaan... Otis does something to me when I hear his music....I luv the man...and I'm STRAIGHT!!! he was gone WAY TOO SOON...but I understand...God needed a true soul stirrer to headline the show "up there"🎤🎶💞💕😊
I was Today years old when I heard this song 6.30. 2022,and I'm 50 and some change years old, in a movie with Ice Cube, and Keekee Palmer, and fell in love with it!...
I just love Soul music and can't believe that people like rap! I can't stand all of the anger they cry about but in the relationships I have with people of color the men are really pretty angry at the women. At least in soul we can all identify with them. Yea1

drchilledair I agree. He is pure charisma and at the peak of life. Seems in his element and in his prime. Very uplifting.

I like when he taps the table 😂❤
RIP Otis! You're still remembered all these years later. I sure miss you.😢
It's wonderful the way he looks at the camera and makes you feel like he's singing just for you.
What an incredible singer.
Many cool cats in this world, but Otis was one of the coolest. He was a natural. His mannerisms tell the story . A true reflection of him and his good nature . This type of talent is special and rare.

I randomly wrote fafafafa into my youtube browser and I discovered this rather good song.
Sam Cooke and Otis Redding were two incredibly talented men. They would have written and recorded a wealth of beautiful, meaningful music had they not been taken from this earth so young. They were really just beginning. Could anyone disagree with me? no
My two favorite singers for sure. Percy Sledge was the man as well. I'm still trying to search out soul singers that I'd like. Any suggestions?
Sean Baldwin if you agree with me, you know all the good ones already
+Sean Baldwin Solomon Burke, Marvin Gaye, James brown, smokey robinson,
I definitely agree if Sam and Otis made song together I could only imagine how it would sound!!!
Fully agree some of the two best singers ever were lost at a terrible age
Perfect Artist. You will never die.

A Big FA-FA-FA-FA-FA-FAT hit for Otis in the Autumn of '66.

I know you aren't supposed to question God but I just don't understand why such a talented, gifted, nice man was taking from us... It really hurts.

This was a favorite song of an old friend of mine. He's the one that turned me on to it.
RIP Mr. Whitt 😢❤️
Sorry for your loss. Your friend had a great taste in music.
@AlTilleyTheBum-pt4mx Indeed. He was an amazing Bass player with a music talent that was off the charts. And as humble as a man can be
What a fine man! RIP Big O
Unsung brought me here. Otis did not live long enough to show the world his true genius.
Me too
Sings with ease. Truly the greatest

Real music
Incredible footage and a great song. Otis was really grooving.
Love this video! Otis was the coolest cat.
The second verse has to be the most powerful vocal re-entrance in music.
I know this man music is like 16 years before my time. He" is great,he is a legend, I can listen to him all night long. I hate he died before his time. The fa fa fa song sound good to me. Thank God for bringing Otis music into our life.

An American legend. Died too early. Papa Wemba recreated this song in 1995 with Juliet Roberts. This is beautiful music.

I never knew that there was such a sweet video to this lovely song. Just wow.
That's nice to see they were enjoying the music and having fun so cool
To be so COOL and and charismatic when all around was ignorance and racism, definition of roll model :-D
Man, they don't make em like that any more. Great stuff, back when music was music
The finest singer ever! Fantastic!
One of the first songs my pop pop ever taught me when I was little. We aren’t close anymore but I’m grateful that he put me on early to music like this and I’m 30 still listening to it
