This is exactly what I've been waiting for but it's difficult to find positive opinions on antelope audio from customer reviews, particularly concerns about drivers, customer service and reliability issues. I'd love to know what antelope are doing about these issues, because all accounts say nothing has changed. Considering the price, I may just get a UA or save a little more for something else. It seems like something they should address more urgently than bringing out new products to people who can't trust them
My response below: I continue to have insanely annoying issues with logging into the Antelope Audio server to use my unit EVERY DAY. Also having to plug and unplug the unit every day to get it to work, sometimes multiple times. Multiple tech support sessions installing and reinstalling everything without any resolution. I am told by tech support that there is no effort being made to resolve these issues. I would like to return my unit. Your product is defective. But my emails go unanswered. Can you please process this return? I've done my part and this is bullshit.
No clue, I have a zen go, Never had any issues with it. I plug it in to my pc and my M1 MacBook Pro since I use studio one on my PC and logic to go on my MacBook, weird i know, but I’ve never experienced any issues hardware wise,
James, when do you think we’ll see the iPad OS version of the interface so that folks that have an iPad can start utilizing the built-in processing power? 🤓
I have an important question: I noticed a red lamp blinking on the left side of the interface. It's right there where you can take a look inside from the left side when you switch it on. Is that normal? I haven't any issues with the interface yet.
not even close lol..UAD has better converters, plugins and - DAW integration. Having to use a container plugin, so you can use these plugins inside it, and then inside of a DAW is going to mess with all controllers such as Console 1, SSL UF8.... Yes better than UAD Solo, but against the might powers of a X4 quad or X6 latest editions - come on. Cool thing is their plugins are included and cheaper.
@@hamifarahani4290 yeah, that's partially Windows faults because they don't have a uniform thunderbolt 3 policy and also Universal audio's fault...for trying to replicate a product without proper checks.

Question: Once you customize Zen Q / Zen Go using Desktop Software, adding one or more of 37 effects, can Interface be disconnected from Computer and be taken on the road with effects still available?

I wish to see some improvement in the software /on windows. Because I plan to buy the zen q but I'm still not sure if I antelope audio become support the windows users or still only Mac OS (full support) 🙄🤔 I have now the apogee and universal audio. Im looking for something potable and support windows. The zen go is not thinderbolt. Unfortunately. So I'm thinking to get the zen q

is the preamp good? i heard apogee desktop symphony's preamp is amazing for pop vocals giving in your face tone. is zen q comparable to apogee's desktop? I cant decide which one to buy
Beware the AFX2DAW doesn’t work with Apple M1 at this time. Which means you cannot use the plug inside your daw. You would need to route it like an external hardware device and you are maxed on 16 channels at a time.. it should have been stated bold and clear… I bought the unit by trading in my UAD twin… had return this unit and lose money in getting my old unit back.. so if plugins inside your daw is important to you then stay away from this at this time
Not opting for USB-C compatibility is weird choice as Zen Tour works both with USB C and Thunderbolt plus Zen Go has USB C only, so technology is there. I had to downgrade to Zen Go just because Zen Q does not work with USB-C and I do not have Thunderbolt yet. Weird design/business decision.
@HD’s Quality maybe I should be more clear. I am asking for better support on windows. We still can’t use AFX2DAW (which they continually “promise” that it it will happen soon). The drivers are still very buggy. I’ve had to roll back from the latest update on my current device 2 times now. And it seems to be the consensus on the Facebook communities that those two things are an issue.
I'm considering getting one of these for a Windows machine. You seem disappointed to some degree or at least annoyed. Would you still advise getting it? This interface looks like it's well suited for me but if it's got compatibility problems with Windows that's going to influence my decision.
@@NoMatterTheSource more like annoyed. The units work really well. And I’ve gotten great results out of them. The issue is the drivers can be quirky. And afx2daw is something that I thought would help me get extra dsp without going to UAD. Just want them to pay more attention to all the OS platforms instead of just the Apple stuff. I can however still use the dsp via setting them up as hardware inserts so it’s a cool workaround. But would like not to have to do all that honestly.
@@NoMatterTheSource Make sure your motherboard works with this "if you're using Thunderbolt". I have a Z590 with Thunderbolt 4. On this motherboard, I think you need an Antelope device with at least Thunderbolt 3. I had bought the Discrete 4 SC but that one has Thunderbolt 2 and it wasn't being picked up by my motherboard with any TB3 to TB2 adapter, even the Startech adapter they recommended. Today I got the Zen Q hopefully Thunderbolt 3 works with my Thunderbolt 4 motherboard.
Hello, Thank you for your comment! The effects slots have been expanded to the first 6 mixer channels for the Zen Q SC, and the sources for each are configurable. Meaning that you can pick any input/playback signal available and apply Synergy Core processing to it. Hope this provides some clarity! :)

Save your money. When it comes to audio interfaces, thunderbolt is very overrated. The interface run no different than the via usb compatibility.

Beware the AFX2DAW doesn’t work with Apple M1 at this time. Which means you cannot use the plug inside your daw. We are desperate for better and more stable support on windows thunderbolt and usb for better functions. Could you talk to them for us?

Can you tell me why you’re limiting the real time DSP to input 1-4? That is extremely limiting and makes it orders of magnitude less versatile.
