  • Naturalization is the process for foreign nationals to become U.S. citizens. In order to naturalize, you will need to have a green card for five years or three years if married to a U.S. citizen.

Hi Jim. Been a long time subscriber. Love this channel!
I have a question: Been married since 2015 and finally my i-751 got approved. After 6 months, USC wife filed for divorce. Will this cause problems when I file for Citizenship based on 5 years residency down the road?
Please advise or make a video about this. I know you have a similar video about 3 year vs 5 year citizenship application but would be nice to have 1 more about this specific issue. Concerned about the short duration from i-751 approval to filing of divorce. Thank you so much Jim!

They will ask you a proof of your "good faith marriage" similar when you went to your interview for adjustment of status

Your videos are truly helpful. I'm in the process of applying for citizenship, however the question regarding selective services, I don't know whether to answer yes or no. Here is why. I came to the US when I was 21 seeking political asylum, I didn't register for selective services. I wasn't sure if I could have done that anyway. Furthermore, I didn't become a permanent resident until 2012. This is my dilemma. Was I qualified then to register for selective services? Or did my qualification come when I became a permanent resident?

My wife married me for papers and now wants a divorce now that she was able to bring her mom dad brother, brothers wife and they’re 2 kids. From Brazil. I don’t want anyone in her family to get screwed but they are now making death treats because she can’t get the kids to move out of state (where she now lives)because they don’t want to leave the school they’re at and they know what she did (proof I can’t mention here). They will stop at nothing to ruin my life until they can steal the kids from me their father. Please advise what should I do. They have mob connections and senator connections. Please advise god bless and thank you for your channel and information🙏
