I think I saw a video somewhere about that last Jetson's game getting mascot swapped with another character for something in Japan. It definitely looks familiar. Great video!
Jetsons : Invasion of the Planet Pirates in Japan was turned into "Yokai Buster: Ruka no Daiboken" in Japan which replaced the protagonist with Marukatsu Super Famicom magazine mascot Ruka. That version of the game actually has it's own soundtrack too. Otherwise, I believe it's the same game just recontextualized for the new protagonist with a new story and theme.
This opened up a new can of worms for me, Stu. My dad who used to own a Windows 98/95 (Don't remember) had a strange Jetson computer game where you play as George flying in his spaceship dropping off all his family members to their designated locations (including the dog) and it would play their respected jingles from the show's intro~ If you fail to chaperone the members in time before the time runs out, you get a game over screen with George's boss yelling at him saying "JETSON!! YOU'RE LATE!!" If you finish the game before the time limit, the win screen is George lounging in his office.
Stellar work Stu :) The Jetsons never got the same respect that the Flintstones got, and even if there are reasons for it, it's neat to see them get some games of their own
LOL, the idea of George Jetson being fit enough to lift and throw wooden crates. The guy complains if he has to press a button more than one time in his eight hour workday.
A weirdly common trend among western localizations in the 16-bit era was making the ported version extremely, cheaply difficult. Happened to Rocket Knight Adventures on the Genesis as well.
The last game the Jetsons was in was Lego Dimentions in 2016 you can use the Tardis from Dr who to vist their house and Fred Flintstones and smash it up to get some collectibles. That Snes game in Japan was based on Video game Magazine Mascot. So you was a girl holding a Ogre Oni head instead.
I appreciated the throwback to the old Jetsons YTP you did. Well *I* thought it was funny. Then again I like YTPs so right away I'm very easy to amuse.
It's honestly a shame Taito didn't give The Jetsons the same love that they gave The Flintstones, huh? Almost like the games suffered from the same curse as the show itself.
But isn’t Cogswells Caper a decent game? For a late 1992 release, at least their outing on the nes isn’t racking up expensive points compared to Surprise At Dinosaur Peak in 1994 for Flintstones
I think the Jetsons is a very interesting cartoon because of the way it depicted the future, Jetsons robot panics seems unfair because of that one cheap level with the acid, or as I like to call it level of cheap deaths.
Jetsons Cogswell caper might have took inspiration from chip and Dale rescue ranges, let me explain the way you pick up and throw objects around enemies to take our hurt them.
The only good thing we got out of the NES Jetsons game was Sentro. Not for the boss fight itself, oh no. I mean how they took that design and concept and reimagined it in M.U.G.E.N.

I'm a 90's child myself, and this and The Flinstones got aired on Cartoon Network ALL the time back then (though we also got classic Looney Toons, which helped balance things out).
The first game has a semi-decent concept if only it was developed better. And it's a (kinda) shmup, which is the obvious choice for The Jetsons, not like those generic platformers.
Those Jetsons games were way more excruciating than watching "The Jetsons: Robo-WrestleMania". For real. Now that you mentioned Wheel of Fortune, any chance you'll take a look at the game show games?
